    At the lowest point you better off having a small hole to let condensation out .. especially if you are holding tools

    great video - good job. Big concern is the lack of coverage by the rain covers. Weak design on Givi's part!

    Thanks for the review, very helpful. How long are the included bungee cords?

    • @thisiswhyweride641
      @thisiswhyweride641 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi, purely from memory they are around 30cm and extendable by another 10cm or so. Therefore quite short as far as bungee cords normally go. I think I stopped using them pretty soon after getting the bags.

    Bro its waterproof or not? If were riding on rainy day its safe?

    • @thisiswhyweride641
      @thisiswhyweride641 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the waterproof covers provided it would be ok but if you ride in heavy rain some water still comes through. Also the waterproof covers are not of very good quality, mine were done in a little more than a year. I pack my stuff in plastic bags which then go in the panniers.

    This is a good way of doing it. However, you're interfering with the saddlebag's frame. It won't work for saddle boxes.

    • @thisiswhyweride641
      @thisiswhyweride641 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I honestly wouldn't mount these on a bike without racks. Dangerous and chances of scratching the bike's paint

    this is why we ride love your video. I cycled a similar route from London Wimbledon to crete via Callais, Paris Orleans, south to Marseille, st tropes French Riviera, Nice Monaco, where some rich entitled cunt in a stupid hat and fancy mini cabriolet told me to fuck off when I asked for directions disgusting entitled "BITCH", monaco wasn't my scene ...couldn't wait to get the fuck out. san remo etc, visited the great famous Olmo bicycle factory and showroom then on to Genoa. Then down the Italy boot coastal route to Rapallo, up the famous Boca cycle route mountain pass its like travelling up an upside down ice cream cone.(with its roadside shrines to cyclists killed on the hill showing their coloured jearseys) dam those Italians know how to cycle in style,....across and down the beautiful valley to Palma past the famous Ducati factory to the Adriatic, Rimini south to the old Port of Ancona then ferry to Greece, across Greece to Athens then the ferry to Chania crete. Cycled around the island of Crete then flew back and to my surprise they took my bike on the plane having expected them to not accept it I was going to lock it to a tree outside chania airport (and hide the key at the foot of the tree). for a greek friend I'd met on chania. . I told him if I cant take it on the flight its yours. I still have it sorry bud.. I'm thinking of turning the old Kona Dew bike into an ebike. . The excellent rear tyre, a continental countryman wore out because of the weight of the rear panniers, On my approxm.3700km ride,.cycling you do more miles than cars do on the highway and on B roads and never in a straight line. The ride took me 26 days. I recommend this beautiful route to everyone . No punctures, very lucky, and the sun shone everyday. One day in france, my longest, I was in the saddle ( going up hill ) for 10 hours, a total high.. Ate tons of do -nuts pizzas and junk food . lots of girls on the French riviera. total fun, Now I have a dog he cries if I'm out of his sight for a minute.....so its like being married. no more freedom.....i've just bought him a new doggie hut trailer, pulling a dog is a whole new ball game. I'm 70.
