ICICI Foundation for Inclusive Growth (ICICI Foundation) was established by the ICICI Group in early 2008 to carry forward and build upon its work in promoting inclusive growth. ICICI Foundation works primarily with government authorities and specialised grassroot organisations to support developmental work in identified focus areas of Elementary Education, Primary Healthcare, Skill Development & Sustainable Livelihood and Financial Inclusion.
Livestock Assistant Training - ICICI Foundation
ICICI Foundation's RSETIs run Dairy Project in Udaipur & Jodhpur to train and assist rural dairy farmers to enhance their livelihood. ICICI RSETI team along with Department of Animal Husbandry is running Cattle Infertility Eradication Programme in selected villages to enhance the productivity of the cattle to the farmer.
Increase productivity of the cattle has always been the focus. Better nutrition, timely health care, vaccinations etc. With the support of KVK and Animal Husbandry Department a short-term course was held on "Artificial Insemination". The objective being to increase in the coverage of planned breeding & enhance the productivity of cattle. A total of 245 youth benefited from this programme. Out of which 78 trainees were female LSAs (Livestock Assistants) & AITs (Artificial Insemination Technician) as these female LSAs can connect in a better way with the women farmers of the community.
To train, orient and develop human resources (vets, paravets, AITs etc.) to address challenges of bovine infertility and reproduction and it will help us to increase the reach and coverage of planned breeding services, provide quality nutritional and reproductive solutions.
