What if i am on a stranded place, in an emergency situation, and I am trying to find someone, anyone on any radio frequency with a 16 channel handheld device, how to do that?
Good video, thanks, I just came back from a trip from Melbourne to Darwin and back in a rented camper with a cheap Oricon unit, I was scanning around 60% of the time and wished I could set this up. I’ve now bought my own Ute and will be fitting this UHF and doing this!
Well not going there then :) cheers
Van looks amazing! We are picking our colours tomorrow, wondering what colour your cabinets are?
so if i only want to scan 3 channels i have to manually go thru taking out 77 channels??---time consuming and does it reset when radio turned on and off?? cheers
There is an iphone app. I believe you can set this up easier using it.
Just installed my 390 heard some talk now nothing on any channel dunno what’s wrong dosnt show up on my iPhone blue tooth also
great video ty
Lol , mate a fly landed on your handset, so I waved my hand over my screen to shoo the thing lol . Top tip mate 👍
Thanks for the video, I have a Isuzu FTS 4x4 truck and a 8 mtr trailer. They are both 4 mtrs high. What’s your thoughts on me getting into Notch Point
You should be pretty good, there are no crazy hair pin turns. Maybe the odd height issue but nothing that would stop me with that setup.
Might be a timely reminder...Channels 31 to 38 are repeater input channels. If anyone uses them for simplex use, they could be unwittingly interfering with others using a repeater in the region they are travelling through. Best to avoid these channels for simplex operation, especially 5/35 which of course, are for emergency use only.
This is a good reminder. I have a Channel 1/31 repeater and I often hear people coming through the repeater that are sitting on Channel 31 and have no idea they are being repeated over a wide area.
Hi mate Eagle eyes here….got the same magnetic holder for the hand piece( and same car) How did you secure it to the vinyl/leather 3M doesn’t cut it….. We want it in the same position also….
Hey mate, I reluctantly use the screws as well as the double sided tape. I wasn’t very confident in screwing it in but we have been right around the country now and it never moved.
@@thebrifflife1634 ok Cheers
I cleaned the mounting surface and stuck the holder using the double sided tape it came with. Never had an issue.
Good informative video thanks can I get my Subaru forrester awd pulling a light 4 m boat in thanks steve may 21st 2023
Not a problem at all
much water on the track when you were there? wikicamps seems to be suggesting there is so might air down and make sure we get our van through tomorrow, cheers for the video :)

Can you set each zone up to run different scan patterns, eg, zone 2 to run channels a,b,c and zone 3 to run channels d, e f? Cheers
Good info mate, well explained 👍
Best road Channels 40 trucks australia wide 29 same as 40 but it’s only up and down east coast line Melbourne to Canberra then o ver to Sydney ten up to brssy via GC then all way to Townsville i last knew
Ive got the 370 x2 and 390 x1 in the trucks and Ute . I’ve been able to clone all three radios so they are the same via GME app but watch out when the new firmware update make sure write to app and then write to radio . Then do update . Otherwise u will lose all settings saved including speaker etc . May we can show people how to add listen only channels . Got a dozen listen only channels added in bud in a few public transport service but companies Sydney trains Newcastle port authority - ties in well with GrainCorp channel 30 when trucks are staging to come in and unload for ships in port . And a few govt departments too

Hey great video how do you do this via the app ?
That looks a bit like south Florida.. Beautiful clear water... Ha..Clear Water Florida . My dad lives there . Many places in Florida has limestone caves & spring fed rivers...
We have never been, I would have to be able to convince Sheena to get on a plane and there isn’t much chance of that! Thanks for watching. We have stopped travelling for a couple of weeks as we have caught up with some family in Western Australia. More episodes to come soon though.
Nice 200 series! What's wrong with Daly Waters? Glitter on a shithole u think lol place does look very junkie, I guess its a stop in the middle of nowhere ay
Couldnt of put it better myself 😆 Its ok it you are stuck for an over night stay but I wouldn’t recommend any longer.
real nice
Great Video mate, someone added it to the Campedia App for everyone to see 👍🏻
Oh awesome! Thanks for the heads up, ill head over and check it out. Hope it helped.
Where have you been? Tricia and I have missed you guys Great video you have improved Out of site, keep them coming All the best😀✅
Hey guys! We have been out of service for a month so really behind on the youtube content sorry haha
Looks like the most peaceful week yet! The Springs and swimming holes all look amazing!
Loved watching that! Amazing!
Fantastic guys. That water in bitter springs is amazing. Hope your all well?
It’s so nice
We loved it here and will definitely be coming back!
Awesome stuff Jay and family. Hope u guys are well. From Karl the straddle driver at K&S Melbourne 🤙
Hahaha, Cheers brother! Good to hear from you. We are thinking of parking up in WA for 6 months or so. Might go see if ai can get a gig with K&S
Awesome brother. Be safe.
The design, and living arrangement inside the van looks great.. especially the laundry! The drone footage, where the caravan is being towed, clearly shows the size of the caravan, comparing the car. ..Congrats again and I am really happy for you..
Wow Cobold Gorge is beautiful 🤩
It has it all there. So far it has been the best place that we have visited!
It’s great watching these videos, you guys have been to where we are heading! Gives us great ideas on what to do when we get there. Great work guys 👍
Good to see you are enjoying them 👍
It’s funny how suddenly 25 degrees feel cold for you now 😂
Loving your style of videos, very informative & fun to watch. We have just had our first experience with midgees also (also from Melbourne!). For such a little creature they sure can cause some irritation!!
Yep, they are nasty! As soon as we started heading inland they disappeared though 👍
Great to see a bit of Yeppoon, we will be there in about 3 weeks! Looks like we might enjoy a warm swimming pool!
Great intro, good to meet you. New sub from Instagram. Looking forward to watching your adventures & maybe see you on the road one day!
Awesome guys! Thanks for jumping in board. We will definitely keep an eye out, if you spot us first, come say g’day!
Excellent Vid....
Another great video guys.
1.44 what a view
There have been many epic sunsets!
Thanks for the tour!
I love van tours. Yours is stunning, a neutral, natural palette cant go wrong. Our DRX is on order, a slow, long wait.
Thanks Leanne! Yes the wait is painful but it will be well worth it we are sure.
I love and thanks for your sharing
Thank you 😍
Love it! Have been looking forward to seeing inside. Kept us in suspense. Thanks for sharing.
Such an amazing space! Even more incredible in person 🧡 glad you're all comfy while traveling Australia!
