Hozit man…I’m originally from Cape Town 😊 yip the gear ratio is nice around town but on the open road she screams high up in the rpm. I’m have an look what gear set they use, here they don’t get the 180i maybe I can get something in cpt 👌🏻

For now we don’t have the pump on the head, we are going to do an electric pump setup later on. I have been sick as f the last couple of weeks and slowly getting back onto things.

There is no performance gain for deleting your EGR system. We are running OBD1 chipped ecu and the egr system has been deleted of the software on the ECU so we took it off as it has no use and looks ugly 😊 if you would to do the same on OBD2 ecu you would get engine light on.

Getting the right parts isn’t so easy 🫣 and being our first f20 swap it’s trial and error but almost ready for cert.

The f and h platform is not too bad as it’s way cheaper than k and b series currently in NZ…not sort after at scrapyards so can pick up parts cheap.

@@jschreuder81 I have a low ks f20b (full setup) but it’s obd2, so there would be a few things to get around, I’m also from nz aswel man!

K -series would be much better but on the island we are on the manual transmissions are super expensive and hard to get, you will not get them at the junkyards so most of the k swaps here are people that buy complete cl7 or 9’s or accident vehicles and use that to swap.

How’s the clearance between the rails? The eg was tight 😬 to fit…

We used the oem t-bracket from the f20b motor (92-95 bracket) with the innovative mount kit for the eg.

Keeps cranking no engine light tho

So with the b20v motor I run stock k20 injectors with fuel rail pressure of 3.5 bar and she is little lean, also I’m on the stock b16 ecu for now and stock d16 in tank fuel pump ( working on new video on ecus) You need to check your rail pressure, also what ecu are you using ?

It’s was the 90’ wheels back in the day and UK and South Africa it was the go to wheels the TSW range. Here they are called VX1’s

Hi there, I personally haven’t stripped an b18cr head before but know the b16/b18 and K uses the same spring combos or aftermarket dual valve spring kits. When I do come across something I’ll post it. 🙏
