I always tell the newer cruisers to avoid the older carnival ships. I have been on 6 carnival ships, 3 Norwegian, and 1 Royal Caribbean. I have noticed that the older ones are just not that great.

Thank you for this review and comparison. I am actually thinking about choosing between MSC and V.V. I think i am going to bite the bullet abd go with MSC. I didn't hear either of you mention the fiasco with the mustard drills, issues with smart elevators etc. But i think i am going to roll with MSC. One thing you really help me out with is which drink package i would get. Usaully when i cruise i i am a VSOP/ Hennessey guy. But i can deal with L.I. alll cruise long with a couple of fruity drinks. Great video.

How was the temperature on the water in December?

What were the temps like in Dec. on the water? Thinking about a balcony.

I’m not paying for two ppl. When only one of us have a job. The other is literally a child. I’m fine with cash tips. They work for Carnival that’s who needs to up their pay. I tip accordingly. Between the two rooms booked I would be paying $400 in tips/gratuity . That’s not happening !!

We sailed on the sunrise a few months back and loved it! watching your vlog make me miss our trip lol glad we vlogged it so we can play it back! Curious what camera you're using, I saw you were mic'd up. We weren't able to get ours to work with our canon.

You can goto guest services on the last day (after they charge your account) and have them remove the automatic gratuity charge!

You can bring one 12 pack of can soda and one 750 ml of wine. You can purchase snacks as well but cant be home-cooked meals

You’re spot on with the food. Upgrading to the specialty restaurants is a must to have good quality… did you have any time dining or early/late seating.

Also, do you bring nausea pills in case you get seasick? That might help. I am narrowing down what I want my first cruise to possibly be from watching these videos. Thank you!

I was on this cruise with you. Came here to see if others had a similar experience. This was our 4th, and probably last with Carnival. YES, the balcony pee. So gross. I completely agree. I never could go out for that reason. Even after they "cleaned" it, it actually made it even worse because it made it even stronger.

I am so glade y'all let the people no the real.
