Hello bạn thân yêu, tôi rất vui được xem video bạn tôi thích lắm nên đã đăng ký và like tặng bạn , mong sao chúng ta cùng giao lưu đồng hành và phát triển
This kit is so cool ! Can’t wait to dig into mine .
I think so too! Having built a Hornet already it’s like getting to build another but different. So it will be very interesting to see how all the changes to the design affect the build process and the running of the car. It’s pretty cool!
A very Merry Christmas 🙏🎅🎄🎁🎉to you my friend! This Hornet Evo looks soo sweet! Wow! Comes with real ball bearings ! This thing should be a stunner to drive and lay your eyes on! Good luck with it👍🏻😃
Hey Freddy, we’ll get out the fanfare! Bearing! In a Tamiya! Yey!!! Has Tamiya finally got the message that we want bearings included as standard ? Or is it just that we’ve been sniffing the tyres too much 😂🫣🧐🫣😂 so it’s a cross between a Hornet and a DT-02? 🤔🤨, is it worth the inflated price over the standard Hornet, or could a standard Hornet be modified for cheaper ? 😉enjoy the build my friend, best wishes and a Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🥳
Great buggy. I like the introduction with the "parents". Also cool you'll get ball bearings with the kit.
I think so too! I was in Denmark when this kit popped up on my phone! I was shocked! I think it's a great way to celebrate 40 years!
Body is a different part number. It’s slightly different mould. I believe it’s just chassis, side rails, wheels and tyres that remain the same
I wonder why they did that?...the body definitely looks a little different to what I remember with the rere but I'm not sure. Even with the "film" the clear plastic looks almost see through. Not sure why they would bother creating an entirely different mould. But yes, most of the kit is totally different which is very cool.
Tyre sniffing weird???? I thought it was totally normal 😆😆😆 I do love the hornet but I think this one will be given a miss for the time being. I have other plans for the next 6months but may get one eventually. Would be good to have it to drive alongside the original
lol! It's crazy how much that smell takes you back to opening and building your first kit! Well you did say in your last video that you guys aren't really into the buggy scene so that totally makes sense. I'll be curios to compare the two when this one is finished. I know Andy just did a video comparing the two as he had them sitting side by side. Who knows...maybe what makes the Hornet an icon will be missing with this one. Guess we'll see!
I'll be interested to learn if you think it could compete with the handling and durability of modern cars on my backyard track, cuz I don't need another Hornet shelf queen!
I'll definitely run some tests with both kits. Might try to find a track locally in the spring where I can run them doing the exact same thing and see how they compare.
@FastFreddyRC For reference, my Manta Ray is the only "vintage" build that I will run regularly, so just wondering if it's in that ballpark. Thanks!
@@TimothyDoherty-p7c Ah..gotcha...ok good to know. I know the Manta Ray is well liked and seems to be a solid performer. I'll keep that in mind.
Hey Freddy, nicely done my friend. Best wishes, Merry Christmas (again I know 😂😊😂) 🎅🎄🎅
Thanks John! (and as wheelie yellow would say..."Merry Christmas!..again again")
Short and easy. Great you get the fastes gear ratio right out if the box.
Thanks Dirk! And yes that's awesome for sure.
They do look good man!!!!! I been on the fence about this kit...
It’s pretty cool…I’m loving the build so far. Quality seems top notch! I have to pause on the build for a bit now. You need a pin vise and I have one on order…just not here yet. But I see why you need it…you have to make an air hole in the top of the cylinder cap.
This is the coolset series you've on your channel Freddy. I'm really thinking if those metal shocks fit on other buggies. Use my thunb...ooow😂
Thanks Dirk! I'm a bit delayed now for a bit. I had to order a different pin vise to be able to do the next step with the shocks. But with the postal strike everything came to a stand still. Looks like I'll be waiting until next year to work on this again but that's ok. :)
Hey Freddy, those shocks look a bit different from the usual Tamiya ones on there more budget RC’s, they look very plush 😊😂 A very Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and the family 🎄🎅🎄
It's true! I think they seem to be way better. The next step requires that you use a pin vise in the top of the cylinder for air...which is adjusted by a screw. My pin vise is stuck in the post due to the postal strike so this build will be on a pause for a bit lol - oh well...it's Christmas...going to be taking some time off from all this anyway for awhile. Merry Christmas!!
Hey Freddy, another couple of nice steps. I always place a small amount of blue thread lock on the grub screw just to make sure the pinion or the screw doesn’t fall off or out into the gearbox 😊😊😂 best wishes and a very Merry Christmas to you and the family 🎅🎄🎅😊
Nice job Freddy. This gear window isn't the best thing they did. Seems as the one who created 33 and the stopper had a great day and the one who did 34 was just on his way home😂
Thanks Dirk! The gear window is TERRIBLE lol - And YOU'RE RIGHT!...too funny! - It really is a silly setup as it's so hard to tell whether you've got it right. People talk about the "paper method" for working out gear mesh but you literally can't have anything in there while your screwing the motor on. So the MF-01X is really a big guessing game...and don't get me started with figuring this out for ludicrous mode lol!
@FastFreddyRC 😁
Great instruction Freddy. Especially that you noticed the left/right issue when centering👍
Thanks Dirk! It really is in the small details at this stage that can make all the difference.
Such a cool Car...
This car should do very well for Tamiya going forward...it's definitely a solid kit.
😎👍
😎💯👍
Rolling your play list today brother...
Awesome Paul! Knowing how you tinker with kits a lot I'll be curious to see what you think of what I do with the electronics in step 9 which will air on the 20th - this kit requires some "out of the box" thinking :)
@@FastFreddyRC I'll make sure to keep an eye out for it Fred...
Another banger brother!!
Thanks Paul!
Hey Freddy, don’t think I could have explained that anymore clearer myself 😂😊😂best wishes to you and the family 🎄🍾🙏😎
Appreciate that John...thank you! Merry Christmas!!🎄
Cheers mate. Hare Krishna
You're welcome...hope the series helps...best of luck with your build!
Congratulations on your 2k subs!. Nice job Dirk! Enjoy
Thanks Joe!! And I’m so happy for Dirk!!
Thank you Joe
Nice buddy!
Thanks Thomas!!
Congratulations Freddie on 2000. Congratulations Dirk! We tried to get all the letters but we would talk and laugh and then not know if we missed some. So even though we never made an entry it was good fun and entertainment. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Rick! lol - well at least if you were having fun while watching the videos that's all that matters! :) I might do something similar another time but maybe not make it so involved time wise...there was a lot to go through.
Thank you Rick
Congratulations to the winner
Congrats to Dirk for winning the cool kit! Great job on the giveaway, I like you made it a bit of a challenge! Congrats again for passing the 2K mark and you are well on your way to 3K already!
Thanks Addam! It was definitely fun to do something a little different with the giveaway. I'm actually very curious to see what Dirk decides to do with it as I know it's not going to be box art :)
@@FastFreddyRC I am curious as well!
@@AddamsPlaygroundthank you Addam. And yeah, I still have some ideas, planning phase's always great. It's gonna be a nice car.
Sorry I didn't enter, but it's easier to buy that kit myself than jump through those hoops
Fair enough!
Congrats Dirk 👍 And thank you Freddy for this "challenging" giveaway ✌🤝
Congrats to Dirk once again and thanks Gabriel! Seemed like a fun way to do it!
Thanks Gabriel
Wohoo, I'm so happy thanks a lot Freddy🎉🎉🎉 Great intro, like to hear more avout your songs. And thanks for the shout-out.
Congratulations Dirk! I got your email so we'll figure this out asap and get this kit to you as soon as possible!
Congrats!

Love the intro song fred so cool vids get better every day. Dirk rules he deserves for sure so glad he won......all three are great guys awesome fun bud...

thank you Paul

@@FastFreddyRC right.
@@reitplace4765 I just got some ideas ;-)
HAHA.... only 3!!!! CONGRATULATIONS DIRK, Glad you finally found all of the 50 letters and numbers!!
Yep! I was shocked to be honest. Thought for sure there would be a lot more entries.
@FastFreddyRC 3 or 30 entries, there would still be only one winner though. 😜😜 I am sure Dirk will enjoy that one 👍😃
@rivierarc well that is a good point!! And yes I have a feeling Dirk is going to do something interesting with this kit.
@FastFreddyRC can't wait to see 😃😃
thank you Glenn
I have no idea what those D10 parts were for. Or maybe I missed a step? They never got used again in the build. Are they anti-roll bar mounts?
Funny you should say that but you're right...they have absolutely no point in the build what so ever! You're idea of roll bar mounts makes sense though...they look like that's what they could be used for but there's no mention of them in the manual. There must be a reason...but maybe it doesn't apply with this body set? I have no idea....but you didn't miss a step!
I guessed that a sway bar could be an optional upgrade, but didn't research it since I didn't build this car to run 🤔
Cool looking car! Great build.
Thanks Thomas. Love these retro body sets.
@@FastFreddyRC Yup, me too
M-06 and M-05 are the better options
Yes I would agree with you. If you want a designated front wheel drive or rear wheel drive those kits are definitely a better choice.
This construction looks like a modern art sculpture.
lol - true!
Hey Freddy, some detailed miniature steps to get that gearbox case together, well explained my friend. Best wishes to you and the fsmily 😉😎😎
It's true John...it's not that easy to do and seems like it's been over complicated to fit this together...there has to be a reason. Thank you! All the best.
Hey Freddy, another easy step completed, it’s a very compact chassis 😊best wishes to you and the family 😉🙏😎
It's a pretty simple step that's for sure lol - all the best to you as well :)
