(c)2024 Michael Lasota , BMI Slap a name on a piece of tin Drink it down, let the party begin Fill it up once more again This time with a quart of gin! Hoist your tankard, take a swing Let the fiddle and the banjo ring Stomp your feet and twirl around Till the floorboards shake the ground! The fire’s hot, the spirits high We'll chase the moon across the sky One more tune, and we’ll dive right i...
Dark Chocolate and Bananas
มุมมอง 3วันที่ผ่านมา
Written by Lina Lasota with a little help from ChatGPT to finish it up. Verse 1 Trying to divert my emotion into a happy one Bananas and dark chocolates can help you make happy When life feels heavy and the day is long Find a little joy where you belong Pre-Chorus In the little things that make you smile Turn it all around, if just for a while It’s okay to feel down, but don’t let it stay You’v...

Opening ad for "Chrome for Windows", I don't use Windows. Also, is JJ and his cronies (Kaps) getting monetarily funded from those ads? Hope so.
I miss you Rocky.

Thank you for that.
What a wonderful song of Rocky Frisco ... it is helping me, if sad ... his voice and piano-playing is going deep inside... R.I.P. Rocky ! ... Thinking of him, I also think of his company with friend and band-guy JJ Cale ... he passed away 7 years ago 2013, July 26th ... R.I.P. JJ .... I'm thinking of both with her unforgetable music!!!!
21:10 onward I share the same feelings with those audience members every time, JJ's River of soul Runs Deep within us all!!!
homey in the far left up front feeeling da phatness
Thanks Michael for sharing this concert! So often I'm seeking JJ on TH-cam and hear my many Albums! Greetings from Germany - Günther (we know us from Yahoo-group JJ Cale)
It is good we have youtube for such rare performances like JJ’s
Again and again I hear Rocky ... I like his solo music and also his componay with JJ Cale. In his band I found Rocky long years ago. Thanks Michael for sharing this music ... Tears in my eyes !
Great musicians. Call me the Breeze - WOW. What an arrangement.
Ridin home is the most underrated JJC song
JJ Cale almost never had the vocal mics turned up high enough - for me anyway:)
Rocky's Voice! Yeah
The always Great JJ Cale !
Those guys dancing behind! Having a real good time.
60s 70s 80s we danced non stop.
Great artists. but a terible recording.
That's a tad harsh since the recording is from one of the band members. Beggars can't be choosers.
Well - consider this: The recording was done by the keyboard player (Rocky Frisco, RIP) and it was 1994; the video quality is expected to be this way from an old Hi-8 video tape after years of sitting on a shelf. Be happy you got to see this. And, you're welcome.
I can't get the sound up high enough!
Spectacular! Like only JJ could do.
the license plate on the limo at the Grammies a decade earlier said it all: "BB-JJ-ZZ"
love your singing here christine good stuff
Awesome to see this session at the Double Diamond, thank you...and RIP JJ!
Where is/was the Double Diamond located?
I bounced around Google and found: Double Diamond 450 S Galena St. Aspen Co. They opened in '93', I believe and closed down in Sept 2003. Thanx for this show Michael, vids of JJ Cale shows are far & few between (I played with my EQ a bit and the music quality is just fine!).
Thanks for sharing ; excellent music.
The 90's arc angels playing at beginning lol
I just learned of Rocky's death today when I tried to email him and no address left. He left an impact on all of our lives. I moved away from Tulsa in '78 to far away in WA state, but he and I got back in contact via MySpace in '08 and then also email. Today has mostly been spent in youtubes of him, a writing of his that I have, and thoughts. Thank you for posting this. I never saw that many pics of him before. He was an outstanding man and I'm glad you had him as a mentor/father. God rest his soul.
good job...
Good job Rocky!
Lovely...
That was a wonderful tribute!
***** Thank you :)
