well, it eventually did come to NSO
It runs flawlessly on my 3ds you're playing on a fuckin emulator bro
Dude what... you using an Emulator - not the actual console. I have no such problems on my NDS/DSlite/2ds or 3ds... It's a good collection. This video is misleading.
I love my Switch Lite, it’s all I need when it comes to owning a Switch. All the games I play on it work just fine in handheld mode, my PS5 is for the TV.
I have the regular Switch and the Switch Lite. I don't have the Switch OLED, but I was thinking of getting one, but I don't know if there's any point of getting it now, if Nintendo is going to develop it's new generation console next year or two years from now, that's what the rumors say. Anyway, I transferred all the game data from my regular Switch to my Switch Lite and to be honest, I'd pretty much rather use Lite than the regular Switch any day because I like playing it on the go.
What the hell? 🤨 I played this on my DS back in the day and the S3 Special Stages played fine! 🤨
He's emulating classic collection, that's why it's running like shit.
If you play your games at home get the OLED. If you like playing your games on the go get the Lite
This video was good too!
Good work on the video the thumbnail was not interesting but the video title made me click on it and I thought you're editing and content was really well done good work
I’ve been playing it on my new 3ds xl and works completely fine and I saw no issues, but that could just be the consol I’m playing on
Doesn't run that bad even on the original ds, it's because he's emulating classic collection.
Was this via emulator?
It was. I started to think that this is a weird video when he said "the game crashes'... Haha what. I never ever in my life seen a nintendo ds game crash...
this was techincally the first Sonic game i ever played, though the one i played full on and not in a collection was the Mobile version of Sonic CD
Amazing video
i remember this computer games
Am I the only one who experienced the awful blue spheres on a 3ds?
Nintendoes what segaren’t
Or Secan’t
I prefer the gamecube one over the 3DS bc of the controls!
I actually looked at this game via emulation and the sonic ,3 special stages are garbage
Great video! This port really is strange. I'm surprised you didn't mention the strange time-travel cutscene they add into this port to explain why Gooigi is there. It really caught me off guard when I was playing through it on 3DS, having been so familiar with the GCN version.
You're using an emulator. The actual game doesnt have any of these bugs
I actually disagree on the take about the style being less off model on the remake being better. I feel like in the original the off look of Luigi's model and animations gave him and the game a unique feeling, which I feel the 3ds version took away with the "branding" finally being put into place. I enjoyed the video. What a bizarre release this was

Would like if they did a switch lite oled model with better screen, better battery, and maybe better thumbsticks. I had a lite and love it since often share my oled with brother so if one of us uses the oled the other uses the lite. One thing about switch lite is the thumbsticks if they drift. If not covered under warrenty you would just have buy a brand new one all together. With regular and oled you just buy new joycon and joycon alternative. Still both good systems and with new switch around corner i cant wait see what the new switch lite would look like in future
i didn't know that the DS have those games. that's a plesant information
Regarding the general comments, yes he's playing this on an emulator and that is indeed causing the severe visual glitching in the special stages. However, I will vouch that the framerate issues seen throughout the rest of the game in the sidescrolling levels are still present on original DS or DS Lite hardware. If you didn't experience these framerate dips on your end (at least to nowhere near the same extent), then you were probably playing it on a DSi or 3DS. The DSi had a significantly faster CPU than prior models. Original DS and DS Lite CPU ran at 67mhz, while the DSi upped it to 133mhz. There were a small handful of games released late in the DS' life that were enhanced to take advantage of this faster CPU if played on DSi (or 3DS). Sonic Classic Collection was one of these games, and most of the lag that older DS models suffer from is almost completely eliminated when played on a DSi or 3DS.
Nah, I like Luigis Mansion not being part of The Brand™️. It's janky and weird and Luigi is off model but I like that, it give it a really unique personality that the 3ds remake lacks

u emulated didnt u :P
I really love the part that describes your personal experience, mostly because it shows what you said in the video is from the heart and not some stupid check trying to tick off what makes something good or not.
Amazing content man !
I felt the video ended really eruptly I was hoping for more dialogue
On my 3DS blue sphere does a similar effect, has that kinda stutter of the world map
Does it get rid of the dash button?
Yes

Are the frame rates bad because its not on Genesis or is it bad because its 2010
its bad because of the emulator his using, i played it on my 2ds xl and it runs perfectly fine other than a few lag spikes, but its not as bad as he said here
Tbh if uve never played Genesis games these are actually really good
Crashes just hsppen sometimes and then never again
Yo Ristar is sick! Need!
I had both the animal crossing clock and calculator on the dsi (which is now on my 2ds). The calculator was such a bare-bones experience
I tried this game on several different DS models over the years, and the results seem to vary. In my case, the general frame rate issue does exist, but it's not bad enough to make it unplayable. It seems to run more smoothly on DSi and later. I never had the sound glitch out on any DS model. As for the blue spheres stages, the floor is jittery on DSi and later. But on DS and DS lite, it runs perfectly. I never had it slow down at all like it does in this video. This might an emulation error on your end.
It's your emulator that has problems, not on real hardware 😐
I read it runs flawlessly on a DSi.
*reads comments* welp, now i can't trust any issues he mentions-
Ive played this game alot, game has never crashed, yes sonic 1 does lag the most just slow downs, blue sphere runs normally hes using an emulator, game is not as bad as hes talking about because hes using an emulator but also I play this on a dsi so
just found this out the hard way with trying to have a japanese gray twl cartridge work on my american ds... thanks so much for this!!
Man, dude, your vids are so sick, hope you're doing well
Sonic origins is amazing
I honestly have played this game on both emulator & ds. I’m 90% sure your emulating classic collection.
Awesome topic for a video! Thank you so much :) I actually enjoyed the Walk the World function of Personal Trainer Walking immensely, all the commentary from the Fit Meter was so cute! I liked it so much I even bought the European version just to play it again XD (I walk about 20k steps a day for my job). Another DS pedometer that may interest you is Teku Teku Angel Pocket, a Japan only title that is basically a tamagotchi ^^ Thanks for making such a great video!
Found this out the hard way trying to play my US copy of de Blob 2 on my Japanese DSi XL :/
They really needed to release it earlier and they should've called it Luigi's Mansion 3D so it's more clear that you're talking about the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. And they also need to make a Nintendo Switch version so the whole trilogy is on the Nintendo Switch. Maybe around Halloween?🎃 👻 🕷️🧹🧼
5:46 imagine suing switch lite as gamepad from wii u
