At least be a little honest when you talk about underlying stats. As of 25 January, Arsenal had conceded a goal more than Liverpool while having played a game more. The xGA difference was 18.83 vs 20.01 in favour of Liverpool. As far as goals scored are concerned, Liverpool have scored the most while also having the highest xG. On the other hand, Arsenal have the 3rd highest xG while having scored the 5th most goals in the league. Not saying Arsenal can't still challenge Liverpool for the title, but I'd rather you not make up stats.

Eh come on- its not strategy man. It was the on-field ref for Arsenal, and Welbeck may have suggested to the ether that it was a yellow. But there were 5 red cards given across today’s fixture alone-theres always some agenda the PGMOL has at the beginning of the season whether its cracking down on time wasting or dissent and then they overdue it at the beginning of the season. Also for Gibbs White-it is a yellow for a reckless challenge for specifically scissoring Joao Pedro’s ankle and he’s out for 6-8 weeks. Its given independent of getting the ball or not. It was also in the 89th minute, so of limited strategic value. Nuno got red for abusive language and Hurzeler was for stepping outside his technical area and his touchline ban was overturned. Its a lot of reds for sure but our flopping is average at best. Arsenal has definitely been on the receiving end of some unfortunate red cards and I’m sympathetic. The indications for the three league -play red cards were heterogeneous. Crawley Town deserved more than one red to be fair. And Everton was the clearest denial of a goal scoring opportunity you’ll ever see. Theres just not enough of a sample size but I would be astonished if it was a baked in principle.

@@mudivic the point was at the price that Chelsea are paying for playing, they can't afford to have these 10 players not playing. If they are still paying off transfers but watching players value depreciate, that will cause a major financial issue in their strategy. As for Sterling wages, he was bought last season when they must have had this plan in mind but the bugger issue is getting him off the books if he's not playing Chelsea won't get anywhere close to the £47 mil they paid back

Lets face it, its cheating though isnt it. Chelseas success since the Abramovich era has been based around outspending everyone else and the Tod Bohely era is no different

@@JJ_1115 as long as they stay within FFP it isn't cheating, but I also think FFP isn't fit for purpose of Chelsea can keep doing this
