He was making a point about them not being out of the title race, and xG dont count towards the stats he provided

@FootballUnspoken Well you are right. After all Arsenal and City arent having a good season and Forest don't seem likely to win the league. And Chelsea crashed out the title race very quickly. So it would be crazy if they bottled the league while being 6 points up with a game in hand and having a great record against the big six.

@ Fair enough. I agree with the point and Gordon does go on the outside a lot more than most wingers these days. He has said it’s something he works on a lot. It’s nice to see a winger that wants to take on the opposing full-back on the outside sometimes.

@@jimmyvo1667 it's definitely an option, and it helps those kids who do struggle academically after their academy time. I think more thought needs to be put into youth players overall!

@@bipolarminddroppings not to the scale of College football in the US for example. And it gives youth talent another avenue, is it not something that could be utilised even more than it currently is? Especially with the number of young players who once they leave their club suffer, but with a solid and lucrative University league they could get scholarships with a pathway towards a career in football or a degree

@@FootballUnspoken But the point about college sport in the US is that it's THE avenue, rather than merely another one. Trying to replicate that here isn't worth the cost of destroying existing structures.

@phillippatryndal4255 I would like to see it be another avenue rather than a replacement. We've seen a few players over the years come back at an older age, plus it gives the kids a real academic chance. But I agree you would want to replace the current system

@phillippatryndal4255 I get what you're saying, but the number of youth footballers who have had mental health crises after being cut is the reason I think Uni football could be an option. I think the prem needs to help the football pyramid more with financial support, but the reason for the use of uni football would be to give youth players another option

@@christianlarsen8665 you've got some good points, but I do think Brighton try to play for fouls and opponents are falling for it. Lewis Hall for Newcastle yesterday bought himself a yellow after a very soft foul was given against him. I'm not saying they are doing anything wrong necessarily, but definitely using the softer touch from PGMOL this year to their advantage and its 100% up to the refs to sort it out

@@mudivic the point was at the price that Chelsea are paying for playing, they can't afford to have these 10 players not playing. If they are still paying off transfers but watching players value depreciate, that will cause a major financial issue in their strategy. As for Sterling wages, he was bought last season when they must have had this plan in mind but the bugger issue is getting him off the books if he's not playing Chelsea won't get anywhere close to the £47 mil they paid back
