Extra !!!! Le décollage et l'atterrissage m'ont halluciné !! Un oiseau !! ça c'est du vol !! Pas besoin d'aller bien haut pour avoir cette sensation... J'adore ! 🤩
New sub and how did this just now show on my feed after years of HG searches? Love everything about this vid. It is now my alarm clock on the TV that gets me going in the morning. Great way to wake up. 5 mins of hit the ground running (possibly bad choice of words) for the new day. Thanks!
Alas if only there was some way to enjoy the video yet not be subjected to this torturous sound? This is truly a paradox that profounds us all. The agony is palpable. I promise you this my musically selective friend, that someday perhaps long into the future, maybe after our time on this earth has passed, future technology will allow our children's children to impart our will and invent a way to watch, yet silence the audio of such an abomination! For now, we can only dream of such a utopia. I wish you the best in your quest for the perfect video.
Great!! Could you please tell me how much wind speed you need to a achieve a flight like this? I have my hang glider and beach nearby. And the relief is pretty much like this beach on your video. I just need some time to go and practice.
Hi mate , any of the floater class gliders will be good for a beginner. However, if it's low dune Flying you want to learn , I would suggest not to get a new one , get a second hand because you'll probably break a few things while learning , no point trashing a new glider .
That makes sense, thanks! I'm learning to fly and have ordered a new glider... Just got a reason to get another one LOL Or probably my instructor would let me use one of his teaching (beaten) gliders if I buy battens if I break them.
@Rod Loucks I'm sure! In a couple hours I'll have an instruction tandem flight (instructor takes off and lands, the middle is mine) :) a couple of these and maybe another session in the training hill to make sure... Anxious!
Nice flying Tony, watched a few of your videos on here and saw you had flown the malibu 2 and the falcon 4. Could you advise me on which you think is best for a new pilot
Great flying Tony, I'm looking to do a course sometime soon and then get on to my local dunes. I noticed you have used the Malibu 2 and the Falcon 4. Which one of the 2 would you recommend for a new pilot?
+michael Hanley Exactly the question I wanted to ask. Also : why do experts or any other pilot always use 'beginners' hang gliders, such as Malibu, Falcon 4, Airborn FUN for dune gooning ? Rarely I see a double surface in those dune gooning vids.
+DirkDucat hi mate good question , in theory you should be able to fly low dunes with double surface but it would require an enormous a Amount of step by step practice , in my opinion almost too difficult / dangerous to worry about . You don't have the manoeuvrability and forgiving control of the floater . You also need to be able to fly the floater at its full speed range from one moment to the next for proper control on low dunes , in a hp wing on low dunes , your speed would get too high . Just to clarify I'm only referring to very low dunes say from 1 mtr to 3mtrs . Hope this makes sense , cheers
Now I understand it, finally . . . Next question : on a flat beach, without dunes, but with sufficient wind coming from the see, would it be possible to fly ?
Hi Tony, question, what was the wind speed? Fanks
What a blast, smoking a single surface 👍
this is excellent hang gliding.
Hey Tony, are you going to come fly at 13th again some day?

Loved this video... mind you, I had Fleetwood Mac's "Little Lies ' playing in the background... try it... PERFECT!
Great site!
How Does That Trashy Crap Noise Relate In Any Way To Hang Gliding! Completely Ruined An Otherwise Enjoyable Video!

17kts is usually min to be safe
Thanks!!
Wow! That was great gooning. Your launches are so smooth.
Wow! You can recover from a wing tip touch!? And that landing was the softest
Really awesome, thanks a lot for sharing!
So Cool...but where you have the camera mounted on the dunes, I'm afraid your going to impale yourself on the stick. Eeew
That was the most nonchalant take off, flying, & landing I've ever seen! Nice place to practice your scratch flying.
awesome stuff
Great video, great music. Takes me back to my youth!
great video,terrible music.
Love watching you fly Tony...
Looks great enjoyed the song too.
Love the zoom in down wind off the beach!,, Id live to do a little belly slide on the way in :)
Hi Tony, thanks you very much for having me lend your glider last january for 10 mn Have a good flys Laurent
No problem
Love the bit where you turned almost straight downwind over the waves headed for the dunes and pulled it back around, awesome !
nice Anth..great filming too
That dune is feeling totally gooned right now.
Wow. That was control :-)
Tony, how may years practice ?
This works therapeutic I guess.
You know what you are doing, nice !
Cheers will do

I'm looking for a beginner glider, plan to start lessons in 2 months!
@Rod Loucks yep, some confusion with the portuguese equivalent. Btw, I got that new glider and I'm close to doing my first solo flight!
@Rod Loucks I'm sure! In a couple hours I'll have an instruction tandem flight (instructor takes off and lands, the middle is mine) :) a couple of these and maybe another session in the training hill to make sure... Anxious!
