Kang Yatse - Hiking Blind
In September 2024 we headed to the Himalayas to climb a 6000m peak called Kang Yatse II in North India. This is without a doubt, the biggest and toughest challenge we've ever set ourselves.

How to quickly audio describe videos for blind audiences

Want to make your videos more accessible to blind people for free? This short tutorial shows you how. We use Amazon Polly text-to-speech to narrate our audio description for us. It's free for 12 months and is low cost after that. Compared to other AI text-to-speech there are limited customisations, voices and speeds, but it's free. The web-based app feels a little industrial, but it quick and e...

Scuba diving in Indonesia was epic. Over many dives John developed a touch/tap system with his diving guides which allowed him to dive pretty independently and John became a qualified diver! @divinedivers @menodiveclub were booked on to do some bits here in the UK over winter ready for another trip! But first… a big mountain to climb Music from #Uppbeat (free for Creators!): uppbeat.io/t/richar...
Pyrenees winter skills with 360 expeditions
มุมมอง 112ปีที่แล้ว
Back in Feb we did an expedition skills course with 360 Expeditions. Take a look at this video to see some of the things we did. The accommodation both in the town and on the mountain was great (even the snow hole!) and the guys at 360 Expeditions had no issue at all having a deaf-blind guy taking part in the same way as everybody else! Sweet! Looking forward to doing another trip with them som...

Camper collection via Tryfan (Grooved Arete)

Climbing gear packed, we headed to Bangor to view and hopefully collect a new adventure van. While we were there, we planned to climb Grooved arete on the east side of Tyfan. We did do it, but it was a slightly traumatic experience! Honestly, we had no idea that we were about to embark on a 16 hour epic. Please write into tshirtadventures@gmail.com if you think we are planning something like th...
Walking the Dales Way - Featuring 'Outdoors is for everyone'
มุมมอง 30ปีที่แล้ว
In the summer we hit the Dales Way for a few days walking with Pip and Claire. Pip is our friend with a learning disability. Claire is our friend that talks about rocks a lot (also Pip's mum). The Dales way is a really good one for great scenery, but also tonnes of stiles! More to do, so hopefully we'll finish the rest together some time soon. Winter skills in Scotland
มุมมอง 312 ปีที่แล้ว
We finally made it to Aviemore after our van issues (It completely died parked in Glencoe near a mountaineering hut and we had to get towed to inverness where we got a new one). After all of that we were super keen to learn our winter skills. The only problem was that most of the snow had melted but there was no need to worry as Gemma, our course leader, knew where there would be some. We were ...
Canoeing at Fell foot NT
มุมมอง 222 ปีที่แล้ว
It was lovely (weather aside) to join our friend Claire for a paddle on Windermere from Fell foot NT. We did a short tour of the river and back. Claire is pretty awesome. She's a great tour guide, especially if you are into rocks and geology (if your not, best not to mention anything about rocks or limestone pavement!)! She's also very chilled about John's lack of eyesight, which is our favouri...

Very impressive! You can be proud of yourself, it's a big achievement to get that high, well done
Thank you! It was an incredible journey!
What a beautiful episode! Phenomenal work my friend! 👏👏
Thank you so much
Nice
Thanks :)
This channel is incredible, can't believe its not more popular. Keep it up guys!
Thank you
Shame on the two owners of those vehicles should be both handed a fixed penalty notice for blocking the footpath
We do report vehicles when we can but at the moment I don't think it's actually an offence
@tshirttwins You're right pavement parking is only illegal in London and Scotland but it should be the whole of UK.Basically a car parked fully or part on the pavement is an obstruction and is blocking a pedestrian's right of way.
I thought the dog was a milkshake 😂
That's amazing
What an adventure, well done
Ohh that’s what you meant
Great video - thanks for sharing!
Also. Please don’t allow your wheels bins to clutter up the pavement
Good production and respect to you both. I go down there a fair bit.
Shame it's still closed. Keen to get back
Going ther next sunday!
Do it again

A great adventure. What camera are you using? footage was excellent .
Hi Hardy. Thanks, glad you liked the video, we are idlin using a GoPro hero 8 black
Where's this at ? UK ? (Ps: This is a pretty interesting video, I don't know much about blind people's lives but I'm glad he survives under the circumstances, it's admirable)
The Uk in birmingham.
Super rad. Good luck!
Wow! That is a cool concept. Glad that he is still climbing no matter what!
Really impressive, where abouts in symonds yat is this?
Thank you - Mostly around waterpipe bay area.
Looks great
Incredible effort, love these videos really underated and should get more views, thank you for sharing.
wow guys that is amazing. john your smile at the end says so much..
Wow 30 a day. I'm worried I'll get nailed with blisters or fail fitness wise.
Looking forward to doing the coastal route next week, should be doing it all in one week.
How big is it?
Great video. It's nice to see it from the perspective of the people in the water. I had to stay dry on the beach flying the drone lol
We saw the drone flying! I’ll take a look at your channel!
@@tshirttwins Thanks, hope you enjoy my dip video and can spot your selves in it.
Thanks for the cool and inspirational video Lauren and John! From all of us at Santos; we hope you'll have some great adventures with the Double Travel.
Thanks! We can't wait to do some serious miles on it!
Congratulations to both of you. I thoroughly enjoyed your adventure. I will have to subscribe to your channel so I don't miss any more. ATB
Thanks so much. We'll check your channel out too!
Great part 2. We can all make slight errors with our navigation ( milage). On my coast to coast walk, I managed to navigate to a completely wrong town on one day, thinking we had finished for the day only to find out we had another 12 miles to go to the right town!.😱 I can laugh about it now but at the time I felt like giving up. The frost on the ground looked lovely .ATB
The frost also really helped with the muddy sections :D We look back on this so fondly but at the time it was tough!
Nice video, shame you had to cut it short!. The route will still be there when you decide to return . Tell John there's nothing wrong with grandad sandals, I wear them often 😁👍. Thanks for sharing. ATB jim
Thanks so much! We went back about 4 days later and finished it (part 2+3!)
@@tshirttwins ,Sorry, I didn't realize you had gone back to finish it!. Going to check the video's out now. ATB jim
Well done guys good effort 💪👍
Hi guys just found your channel. Big thumbs up from me 😊 brilliant. ATB Dave 😊
Congratulations! My wife and I have been tandeming for over 20 years now! A tandem ride was our third date, she loved it! We regularly take tandem vacations and also do many group rides throughout the year. We love the shared experience that riding a tandem brings. Also, we are pretty fast! Keeping it about the experience and enjoying each other's company is what it is all about though. You guys will enjoy riding your new bike as you grow into it even more. Have fun and thanks for the post. By the way, it is beautiful country that you are riding in!
Thanks! Are you also fast uphill? We need to work on that!
That is always a relative condition. Generally when we go on large group rides, MS rides, fund raisers, that sort of thing, we are faster than the average, but definitely behind the organized club teams. We can climb out of the saddle if necessary, and that is harder than on ones single bike. I find we need a low cadence, high torque gear for that to work.
@@FriendlyFarmMachineryToolCpBel Interesting - we need a little more climb practice I think!
Well done. Have a look at www.armaskin.com. I’ve reviewed them on my blog as well and I use them all the time #blisterfree Have a look at www.betweenthetrees.xyz
