To all those so-called fans who have to use foul language on TH-cam: Please desist. I come on here to unwind, listen to the music of my childhood and enjoy discussing it with other like-minded people. I DO NOT come on here to read puerile comments. To those who need to drop the F bomb and worse, just imagine your grandchildren happened to read it and knew who you were. Rock on.

The Young Bloods were an amazing band. I can't believe how young they were. They sound so much older, much more mature. Jesse is 74 years old and still looks good. Lawd, he was GORGEOUS back in the day. He had more sex appeal in his voice alone than most of those so called rock and roll frontman had in their bodies. His beautiful, soft, sexy singing voice drives me nuts. I could listen to him sing all, every day. The lovely, handsome, sexy Marty Balin was another criminally underrated rock and roll frontman. With all the crazy stuff going on along with the political and ideological bull-crap, I think it's time to revive this classic folk-rock anthem, open up our hearts, minds, and souls to the Universe, and realize that we are all human on one tiny planet.

for those idiots who compare this live recording to the studio version, you lack the vision to understand the message…to inspire thousands of people to share the lyrics overrides all technical flaws in the recording not that it should matter…it is the message and the moment that matters…if you were there you might understand…

stephen b clark When I went to concerts in the 70s and 80s, we still had the peace and love attitude from the 60s, You went to a concert to share and make friends with everyone there. These are lyrics to live by! This is an awesome example of how we treated each other back then,, before the gangster rap and greed came in

Graham Nash, too...pretty sure that that is ONE of the series of concerts: Musicians United for Safe Energy, or MUSE, is an activist group founded in 1979 by Jackson Browne, Graham Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Harvey Wasserman and John Hall. The group advocates against the use of nuclear energy, forming shortly after the Three Mile Island nuclear accident in March 1979. MUSE organized a series of five No Nukes concerts held at Madison Square Garden in New York in September 1979. On September 23, 1979, almost 200,000 people attended a large rally staged by MUSE on the then-empty north end of the Battery Park City landfill in New York.[1][2] Other musicians performing at the concerts included Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, James Taylor, Carly Simon, Chaka Khan, The Doobie Brothers, Jesse Colin Young, Gil Scott-Heron, Tom Petty, Dan Fogelberg, Poco and others. The album No Nukes, and a film, also titled No Nukes, were both released in 1980 to document the performances. A full No Nukes concert featuring Browne and Crosby, Stills & Nash was also filmed near the beach in Ventura, California, at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, but none of that footage made it into the final cut.

Yes, this song still inspires me! Damn it, but our generation is still here, were in our sixties and we have the most money and power of any group. Let's make our youthful dreams a reality today. It's not too late. I am a school teacher and no student ever leaves my class without a deep appreciation of the spirit of the 1960's. MLK, Muhammad Ali, Bob Dylan, John and Bobby Kennedy, The Beatles all have colorful posters on my classroom wall and of course the kids then ask questions.
