Interesting. For a graphic novel the sheen on the amazon premium isn't appropriate. However, if it was a photography book it looks like the print finish/quality would be about right?
Your illustrations are beautiful! Thanks for your video, it was super helpful. How did you keep the colors so vibrant in print? Did you send your files in RGB or CMYK? Thanks again!
Thanks! Yes. CMYK. Also I tested it early on by having a book with just a few pages printed, so I could make sure it looked right before I did the whole thing.
That photo of Harper being in black and white gives analog horror vibes. Like he’s the one that’s gonna appear in your nightmares and jumpscare you to death
Look at this

Thank you for this! I’m having a lot of trouble uploading the pages (manuscript) as it keeps coming up as failed. I talked to someone and they said it needs to be flattened, but I have no idea how to start with that. Did you have a problem like this too?
Does it at least let you see the print preview section (where you can flip through the pages)? Or does it fail before that step? What software are you using to create the print file, and what format are you exporting it in?
@@olivierballou392 It fails before that step. I’m using procreate to create the file and I’m exporting in PDF format. I’ve tried everything from compressing to flattening and even the KDP help center said they needed to ask the technical department because they couldn’t figure out what was up either…. I’m just trying to publish, haha
thank you ive spent the last 2 years working on my graphic novel for kdp - i really do wonder about the standard vs premium color. It just seems that it costs SO MUCH MORE for premium! haha - Your graphic novel is alike mine in that it has a lot of pages and also a good bit of text heavy pages (mine has that) - The fact that you got its price to only be $12 usd is amazing. That's not what mine comes up to being at all. Mine at 400 pages and 8.5 x 11 inches in standard color is a whopping $29.67 usd !! - and that's with no royalty lol. So my books will be expensive it seems. It's tough for me to go along with this but at the same time my art certainly is elite level. Premium is way out of the question though IMO - at $55 usd minimum price! I don't know - Yes i can justify the price based on the VALUE i bring - but at the same time, I can't help but say that this is too expensive for the average person to buy. It would only be die hard fans and that isn't exactly what I have so early in my career in independent art.
This is an issue for all graphic novels -- the longer ones can be very expensive. I suggest breaking your work into parts so that each doesn't surpass $20. A buyer might be more willing to take a chance on that. Have you tried test printing a single copy through Amazon using both color options?
I would love to try printing my zines from Barnes
its so funny that they use douglas' name as if they weren't the same exact people that vehemently opposed even the most moderate social democratic policies he implemented
Nigel Farage’s inspiration right here.
Thank you for this! I wish more people were into making graphic novels!
Totally agree
I was a Reform Party member and was quite involved in my local riding association and also worked on the 1993 and 1997 federal election campaigns. I now proudly support the Peoples Party of Canada lead by Max Bernier. Hopefully the PPC will make an even bigger breakthrough in the next Canadian election than The Reform Party did in 1993. The common sense policies of the Peoples Party of Canada are the tough medicine Canada desperately needs to recover from the past eight years.
Good luck with that. The PPC's been around since 2019 and the only seat they held, they lost. Granted in 1988 the Reform party didn't make any gains but a lot changed in 1993 and they had fewer candidates running than the PPC did in the previous two elections. They're a non-entity.
*promosm* 😥
Such a great video, great actors and great message!
#9:23 i dont have get it, are those worker suffering?
This is from a famous soviet film: th-cam.com/video/k8sf5-rolFw/w-d-xo.html. The woman is a teacher from the big city who is snobbish towards a steel worker who is in her class. One day she comes to the actual steel plant to see him -- but he's still upset (he's the one you see at 9:29).
Right into my synthwave folder, this is golden
An incredible mix of visuals, could've sworn the video had thousands of views when I clicked it.
Its sad to look back and see these great people brimming with optimism and then fast forward to 2020 and see Trudeau giving away Canada to blacks, aboriginals, feminists, and Chinese foreign investors.
Wow you're such a racist
Not a god damn thing is different in 30 years. Canada has died.
