    I would just like to point out that, in order to get it to look like the video does in "edit mode", in "object mode" you first need to select the character mesh and then, while pressing the shift key, select a bone. In "object mode" The mesh will appear dark orange, and the bones will be light orange. Then, when you go into "edit mode" and change the view type to wireframe and x-ray at the top right, your model and bones will look like they do in the video. I forgot to mention that this is a really great video. Thank you for doing it. It's definitely cleared up a lot of problems.

    I never knew about that 'damped track' bone constraint before - that's so useful! Thank you!

    Does this mean there's no built in IK bones for the Synty model?

      When I made this no, but that may have changed. I haven't seen an update though.

    Thank you very much for this tutorial, I tried with the 2 axis method, but your way is very usefull, the posing also more easier. Thanks!

    This was a huge help, there seems to be an issue if you keep animations checked when you import it though. I had to turn it off to get the body not to warp again once I deleted the IK bones.

      Hi Rmckays. Which pack are you using? Is it the kingdom one or a different pack? I tried to reproduce the error and was unsuccessful. However, Synty may have made changes since the original release.

    Thanks a lot, Michael. Do you know how to simply edit synty textures (get new textures with changed particular colors)? Create your own texture that can be used with same Synti's UV coordinates?

    • @michaelbodine4832
      @michaelbodine4832 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I'm unaware of an easier way to import textures or create a texture to fit Synty's character template. The easiest way I have currently found is to highlight the specific part of the mesh and edit under UV Editing tab (which you already know). Not to say there isn't another way, I haven't heard of one yet (although Synty in Blender is starting to pick up, so maybe soon?)
