Buying backwards is a very financially smart thing to do.
Yes, but kind of unusual in todays society. Your supposed to upgrade and get a bigger and bigger and bigger house. So weird!
@LongBucketList people have the idea of building equity backwards, I've been buying backwards for 40 years. Buy a property cheap, renovate/modernise double your property value or more, sell buy cheap and follow the same process, haven't needed a loan for a project since the sale of my first property. Working on my last, bought for $350k, Currently worth approximately $1.1m. Buy forward only continues or escalates debt.

yeah agree not easy, i felt kinda depressing at first coz im looking at numbers (how no one subs on my channel, how almost no one watching my vlogs after all my hardship on editing lol, etc) but it changed after i recalled why i really started, i mean my original purpose -- it was to capture and treasure memories with fam, friends and everyone keep going girl! 😊

It's not easy giving so much of yourself, putting in time and even getting encouragement from certain people who see the effort and love the content, but if the numbers don't match, you feel disappointed. It's strange, since you want to create stuff you enjoy yourself, but then again you publish it for others, so it's particularly sensitive and one suddenly starts becoming externally motivated which can be a slippery slope. But I enjoy your content! And looking forward to the next one! May both your bucketlist and your videolibrary grow over time🔥

My tip is the "24-hour tip", When you se something, want to buy it, give yourself AT LEAST 24 hours until you look/consider the thing again. Still feel like you MUST have It? No? Probably not worth your money then.

That's basically timing the market if you are trying to ride an upswing in real-estate prices that could turn around before you are ready to sell, and there is a lot of uncompensated idiosyncratic risk putting a large portion of your net worth into an investment that could end up not working out: for example if there is more work that needs to be done to the house than was initially apparent.
Firstly welcome to the financial independence train. Not sure if you own a home but if you rent consider moving and renting a place near your workplace. This will save you time and money. If investing I recommend as you live in Norway to invest in a global index fund preferably Vanguard if available. Decide where you wanna focus your money whether it be all in index funds or property. I choose the index fund route. The single most important determinant of getting to FI will be your savings rate do whatever it takes to increase this but also make sure you enjoy the journey.

Currently live in new zealand but thats my hometown Cebu. Tip: next time go there very early in the morning. If your travelling from cebu city take bus at 4 or 5 am in the morning. Be there by 7am. It’s more peaceful if your the first group and you can take your time. Thank me later.
