I like how had the video intro, but then showed the trail via photo slideshow.
@@hikingoutdoorfamily Sometimes I forget to video and just take pictures; I definitely want to return during the fall when the water level is up and colors are at its peak. Thanks for watching..
Looking good bro
@@markfancella7961 thanks Brother…
Wow Teddy! Excellent work my friend, that intro was excellent and did a great job explaining the difficulties these trees are having, you’re also giving me a run for my money when it comes to walk bys haha, great stuff!
@@MaksimOutdoors - learning from the very best between You and Walter. I have to say, that’s one of the best loops I’ve ever been on. I wasn’t expecting my reaction when I got to those Hemlocks. Truly breathtaking and overwhelming.
Great intro! It makes me sad to hear how so many ancient trees are dying and or falling down, it definitely makes me appreciate getting outside and exploring what is left of our forest.
It’s incredibly sad what’s happening to the old growth forests. Luckily DCNR and other organizations have the resources and passion to save what’s still out there.
You captured the beauty of this place. My family and I hiked this one last fall and enjoyed seeing these trees.
Thank you.. by far, this trail has become my favorite.
Please elaborate on the seeing crazy stuff in the sky...the Starlink skytrain maybe ?
It was my first time seeing or camping under the dark skies. So, everything seemed crazy to me. Now, a year later and recently camping at Cherry Springs State Park. I’ve come to understand what I was seeing was Satellite’s and the milky way galaxy. Though, I did see the star link at Clear Creek later in 2023.
Awesome thanks. I am about to make a reservation at Lymans Run and was curious is all. I usually go to Ole Bull, Ives Run and little Pine and figured I'd try somewhere new. @camping_milkman
Nice one Teddy, that creek looked pretty relaxing. What was the old stone wall from? Gonna have to check this place out one of these days.
Thanks Bill, The damn was used for a sawmill owned by the Reeds family. It’s really a great little park. I’m planning on a return visit
Reeds Gap looks very nice. Haven't been to that one yet.
Yes; it’s definitely a fantastic state park. Its limited campgrounds makes it more family oriented.
The can of Pringles hit me, its a camping staple lol... Very well done, you told the story of this place in photos...Reeds Gap, I think, is one of the 5-10 best locations in Pennsylvania for car/tent camping. There is a discernible group of us who enjoy camping in comfort, but also in the quietest, wildest, and most beautiful places possible. I think Reeds Gap hits the mark for me, beautiful spot...
Beautiful exploring
Beautiful and fun little video montage. Thanks for sharing! 😊
@@DayInParadise thank you for taking the time to watch.. it was a great 2 days with my daughter
Nice pics brother, you really gave a nice sampling of what the Wilds are all about. 10 parks, wow that is quite the road trip!
My daughter’s dream has been to see the Milky Way galaxy. Well, it came true and we decided to see a bit more.. it was a great few days
@@camping_milkman I'm a huge fan of watching the night skies myself. There is so much light pollution where I live , stepping away from the campfire and finding a nice place to look up is always one of my favorite things to do on a camping trip...
Looks like you saw some incredible parks - great photos!
Yes, Cherry Springs was extremely special.. and the others have so much to offer in their own way
What a great collage of photos! Let the adventures continue 😀🙌🏼
Thanks Brenda, we really should get today and do a hike or an overnight camping trip.. would love to catch up
Great stuff Teddy! Even cooler I got to meet your editor 😅 btw I tried that tea this morning and it was incredible, great photos you really showed us up with those Milky Way shots, cya on the next one!
Thanks again for joining us. We really enjoyed the time and looking forward to the next campfire
Nice video! Do you recall if the bathhouse had those big sinks out back for washing dishes?
Something tells me there might be; I have a lot of unused video from that trip. I’ll look back and see if there was. Thank you for checking in
@@camping_milkman I'm planning a stay up there in September. First time there. Looks great!
@@BZizzle looking back at some unpublished videos, I don’t see any outdoor sinks. That doesn’t mean there not on the back side. You picked a nice time to visit. Are you tenting?
@@BZizzle .. hey, not sure if you camped at Lyman or not; but I was there a few weeks back and they do have outside sinks for washing
Interesting tutorial. Definitely old school vibes. I like the fact that they were made in America. My grandfather was big into camping, and a big inspiration to me, I am sure he would have had a lantern like that...
Unfortunately, Coleman is mainly mass produced in china now. And it’s surely lacks quality. But yard sales are a great way to find these older Coleman products for dirt cheap. Thank you for checking out my video; I hope to have more soon.
Nice demonstration. Looks like it gives off a nice cozy light.
Great stuff Teddy! Your videos have come such a long way since you started, great little informative video that I learned from. Thanks!
Liked the views. What trail were u on?Where do get on the bike trail? Got to hike there this year .
The bike trail begins (or ends) at the ranger station. It’s roughly 9 miles, the trail I started was Gerald Hiking trail. It’s a 36 mile loop with 2 overnight shelters ( cow run and wolfkiel run)
Looks tasty dude! Thanks for sharing
Nice to see this state park from your video. I have not been to this one yet but looks like a great one. It looks beautiful, but then has all the that interesting oil history too.
Unfortunately, this video only scratches the surface of oil creek and the entire surrounding landscape. So much history and so little time. Thank you for checking out the video. Blessings
Finally got to sit down and watch this and wow this was a great video, love all the information you provided about the mayapples and frogs. Oil Creek is easily in my top ten state parks so much to do and so much history. Awesome stuff!
Definitely heading back to oil creek; there’s too much not to see. And thanks for the kind compliments; I’m learning from the best..
Glad to see you made it to Oil Creek! I’ve written in some those trail books there and I rode the train on those tracks 😁. This is one of my favorite parks ❤
Looking to return; so much more to explore and yes, I definitely want to ride those rails
Thanks for posting this! It really gives a good idea of the place.
Lovely! Cheers for more awesome and incredible adventures!
Dr. Pepper is the best. Looks so cozy
That's wild!
2.8 HI! Amanda from Sit N Stay Cafe. Loving the videos!
Thanks, still a work in progress
Very nice campground
Nice! 😊
Nice one! Love Blue Knob and now you made me hungry for bacon lol
Great insight as always, haven’t been to Lyman in years. Like you said I heard the bears are pretty active up there and I agree with you about the stars, Lyman is usually plan B for me if I can’t stay at cherry springs, enjoyed your down to earth chats. Keep it up man look forward to seeing what’s next and thanks for the shoutout buddy! We should do a trail here in the fall
Another great video,very informative!!!
Thank you…
Nice video as always, never been there but now that I know they might have tent sites I'll have to look into it! Thanks for the tour as always.
Great video!!!
