    Hi Damali, Traveling state to state, as a stylist…how does the licensing work? Beings we would simply be moving state to state and not staying in one location very long. Thank you.

    • @DamaliFils
      @DamaliFils ปีที่แล้ว

      Each state has different requirements. It also depends on where you decide to work, a salon owner may require you to hold a license in that state to utilize their salon space.

    I just started being a traveling stylist and I kinda like it more than being in the salon. There's a few things I have to rebrand etc to get more traffic to my booking site. And I make more money traveling. Would you consider mentoring or doing a paper back book to help people follow your paths through the journey. It would really help me it's like I know what I want but I can't put the steps together to accomplish what I want. Basically I need to move out of my own way... SORRY FOR THE TYPOS

      The majority of my clients I met in the salon prior to styling their hair in their homes. Otherwise they were referrals. I would recommend renting a place if you are not comfortable going to their house. I have even gone as far as taking someone with me to a new client house. Safety first!

    • @DamaliFils

      I have liability insurance which protects me if anything goes wrong. Most of my clients are clients that Ive services in the salon prior to styling their hair in there homes. There are certain clients who I refuse to go to their homes if it doesn't feel right. I recommend renting a booth for the day vs go to their homes if you are unsure.

    Thanks so much for the info! I currently have my CA cosmetology license. If I were to do housecalls in other states would I require licenses in those states?

      You're welcome, thanks for watching. You'd need a license for other states if you were there more than three months styling hair.
