I like to sharpen knives and test out different types of designs and blade steels. I primarily focus on folding knives but will occasionally look at or sharpen some fixed blades(usually kitchen knives) I blame folks like Metal Complex,Shabazz, Neeves, Tristate EDC, Stassa, Doodie, Stella, Rollshambo and more for enabling my insane knife addiction! I live in Southeast Louisiana, which has shown to be an excellent proving ground for testing corrosion resistance on steels, especially in the summer time! Is the blade smooth or are those ridges?
Its step milling, they feel like record grooves
If the blade has a stamp it is 420HC. The old ones were 440C. If it is something else it will me marked. Great blades I have 10 now.

Brother I have a Caribbean that I take kite surfing 4-5 times a week. You should NEVER put bearings in ANY SALT if you actually use it in SALT WATER. Cheers!

Hey Knights Edge, GREAT REVIEW! This has definitely on my "Wishlist" since it was released. The problem is I have so many knives on that list, it's taking me awhile for me to get to the Military 2! I'm hoping they release a version in CPM MagnaCut by the time I'm ready to buy! What a beautiful knife! That was a great size comparison with the Manix 2 XL and Shaman - it really shows how large the Military 2 is! The Shaman is a large knive, and the Military 2 makes it look like a "Mini"! 😅

I know Spidercos are good knives. I just never found them Aesthetically pleasing for me.
Same goes for many! I love em but I can most definitely understand why some people steer clear of them because of looks!
@the_knights_edge When I look over my current collection of knives , I seem to favor more tool looking knives. I don't have very many tactical looking knives. I do plan on eventually getting a spiderco for the historic value. They made single hand opening mainstream. There were automatics, Ruslocks and 1 armed Jack knives around. But they were definitely the exception and not the rule. I'm pretty sure thumbstuds came around to get around leagal issues with the spidy hole. And things grow on you when you have them. I thought the Morkniv Eladris was the goofiest looking knife. But I found one on sale, got it, and found that I enjoy having it.
I’d probably like the Military 2 the most. I had a PM2 and used it quite a bit, but do prefer the Manix 2. Thanks for the video Knight and Mr Eddy

It's one of my most carried knives. Excellent EDC option. It's a nice alternative to a more expensive Spyderco Spydiechef. Mine was smooth and perfect from the start.
