Hi there (ﾉ◕ヮ◕)ﾉ*:･ﾟ✧ My name is Ciara & I’m a freelance artist from Houston, Texas. I specialize in face and body art (my biz is Bug’s Face Paint!), but I’m also a window painter and children’s art instructor. My goal is to paint my first mural by the end of 2024. I really enjoy watching your videos. I took notes. Can you recommend a beginner face painting book? Thanks so much.
Totally a personal preference, but if you want the line art of the template over the top of the design without having to get rid of the background on the image, you can put it over the top as a multiply layer! White shows up completely translucent on a multiply layer, so I’ve found that’s an easy way to get around it. Of course it’s totally a personal thing, just thought I’d give the idea :)

PS: regarding the Craft'n'Go - to get it posted to Australia and the purchase price is $1500 for the middle size. Crazy but a lot of people have them but I've renovated a makeup kit with legs and wheels for $250.

Your video came up in my home feed, I was really surprised to see you use an iPad for a menu board. I have been doing this for awhile, but I have never seen anyone else use an iPad. I was thinking about switching back to a printed board, because I have had some issues. I have had my iPad overheat a couple times, then there is no board at all. Glitter sticks it like crazy, and I am a little concerned about it being dropped by a child. Other than that, I love being able to change out my boards digitally as needed.
Which brushes do you recommend when practicing face painting on your iPad?

This is a plastic practice mat for face painting practice. That's why it looks like paper, but all the paints used are water activated body paints 😊
