I also have an amazing defense build so enemies don't really hurt me anymore 😅. The super strong ones do like 1 or 2 damage hahahaha I love it.
So.. I found out that the danger in the deep mines are amazing. Nautilus shells, rainbow shells and today I found fiddlehead ferns on the levels 40 to 50 😊 I actually think I can do my challenge in 10 ingame years now. That's the goal. It's not going to be easy, though!. I am in winter year 3 now and 100 hours in.

Good progress! Just a few more 😅 you got this! I permanently enabled the "danger in the deep" mines and when I go through floors 1 to 10 over and over again, I actually get a lot of rainbow shells and nautilus shells (iridium quality) so I am making some really good progress too!! 😊 Oh and the radioactive ore too, so working on a lot at the same time!
i be so stress XD idk how i’m gonna get through the rest it’s gonna be so miserable, just doing this loop. i’ll just have to do one of my 12 hour streams to power through at some point but i like have some irl obligations these next couple weekends so it’s gonna be slowwwww

Why you don't hoe the artefacts spots?
I wouldn't feel bad about using the geode farming method. It's in the game, I would not even call it cheesing it... just grinding them. Totally legit and fine in my eyes!!! 😊
yeah i did some research today and the “vanilla” category world records all use clay farming so i think this is definitely okay to use! it’s gonna save us a bunch of time :)

Just place a few crab pots for the last crab pot fish. You would only need to buy 999 bait from Willy, which is very cheap.
we actually already have 999 bait and crab pots are free cuz we took that profession! the problem is that there’s some known bugs around placing crab pots in the ocean, so we’d have to get 999 of them

I actually don't think perfection would be too hard after this. It's just the collection tab, right? All pretty easy. And you only have to cook and craft one of each, since you don't use them (except for a few things). The museum you can complete, because you can take it back out you said I believe? I think you've already done the worst of it. If you are considering it... I do recommend starting to collect holly in winter and spring onions in spring. They will be the hold ups.
we shall see! i think you might be forgetting about some of the requirements to get walnuts tho :)
i already have a decent amount of holly already tho from when i was collecting it, but i stopped, deciding i wanted to optimize community center time more than perfection time

Did I tell you about the 999 version I've been doing? I can use anything but I can not sell items untill I have a stack and I can only sell one stack, only the shipping collection items and only a stack of the highest possible quality. Started with building materials and monster loot etc. Almost done with all the foragables. But I had to wait untill I could get iridium quality crops, so I am starting on the crops soon. Also, I do need 999 iridium quality fish, but I just need the smoked fish, so just one stack. Will go fishing for 999 lava eels later 😅. I hope to achieve perfection within 20 ingame years. The biggest hold up will be the fiddlehead ferns I think.
are you playing on pc? if so you can get fiddlehead ferns very easily by creating tree farms and then waiting for the green rain i think. i’ve never played on the version 1.6 update but i read about it. could save you a lot of time

@@sadnesslovesyouI have ginger island unlocked, I am in year 3. Ginger island has fiddleheads too!! But there will be times where I have to wait on stuff, so yes, I will go searching for dino floors on those days too 😊

some fish ponds we need have a starting capacity of one fish. to upgrade them we need to pay the cost. in one case that cost is a diamond

You could have put the tappers on the trees in the forest, you can't lose them there. There are a lot of pine trees, but it would still take some time, and for oak and maple even longer, since there are just a few. But still, something that could have been done in the background.
i had considered that, but since villagers can destroy trees off the farm i decided it wasn’t worth the risk :/

well it’s not that i didn’t notice the previous episode. if i recall i was very confused why they weren’t dropping seeds. i actually didn’t know that mushroom seeds were a thing back then! and didn’t realize just how invaluable they would be to keep around :)
Good progress! But why haven't you started on some other background stuff yet? You can make tappers and crab pots by now. (If you level up your fishing, which you can, right? You can catch fish and store them, right?) Level 10 has a fishing perk where you don't need bait to fill the crab pots so you could have already been collecting all the tapper items, all the crab pot items. What about artifacts? Very much worth it starting to collect those as soon as you can. Just trying to pick your mind, maybe I missed something?
fishing i wanted to wait on because higher level fishing meant it would be harder to catch normal quality fish, and tappers isn’t something we can do in the background. we need 999 of them to use them since they can be destroyed by lightning ending the run. artifacts aren’t needed for the community center, so they just clutter the inventory and back then i didn’t have inventory space to spare!

I'm a little late to the party (yes I am going to binge all of this!) but... isn't placing down the chest also... using it? So by that logic, did you not need 999 chests before placing them? 😂 wouldn't wanna do that to you, tho hahahahaha
if you watch the intro video i define using an item pretty precisely! placing items that can be picked up again does not count as using it. the definition is more akin to “consuming” the item. aka something that permanently loses the item
Aaaaah that makes sense! I am doing a challenge that's a little like this one. I am doing a perfection run but I can only sell items from the shipping collections tab and only 1 stack of 999. So I only have to have a stack of the shipping collections items, not everything else. Still a grind tho! But a fun one! 😊
Is there some meta to getting millions upon millions Golden Eggs? or is it just paying for them? I don't know how it's even possible to get so much.
there is a free to play meta, but it requires a lot of grinding drones during drone reward boosting days using the GE artifacts i show in the vid, and is fairly late game to unlock. aside from drone farming the options are consuming artifacts like i demonstrate at the end of this video, or just checking in for the daily rewards and contracts. you get at the minimum 1.2m GE every year from the calendar rewards after 24 months of playing, since the PE reward becomes 100k GE instead

glad it was helpful! i will keep in mind a lot of people want more of a deep dive on GE farming. my piggy bank is around level 90, which is obtained pretty much just through contract level rewards
