I don't know anything about Chromebooks, so I cannot really help you. However, if you are running Linux on your Chromebook, then I would recommend updating your Linux kernel to 6.4 or greater if you are using the same controller in the video.

I assume you are talking about gyro; gyro can only be used in Switch mode (S-input). To access switch mode on the PC, you have to use Bluetooth or a wired connection. Note that on the wire connection, you have to hold the Y button down before plugging it in.

For this controller, I found that you need kernel 6.4 or higher to function properly.

@@GXShade I'm on 6.8. Sadly no success on properly using S-Input. Even 8bitdo modkit p30 classic doesn't work on linux (any Input mode). It's been so rough getting controllers to work...at least 20 hours of troubleshooting so far, 0 success.

@@A_d_e_k Updating the Linux kernel was the only thing I did to make this controller work in S-input. The only other question I have for you is: Are you using wireless 2.4 or Bluetooth? At the moment, I have found that s-input does not work with wireless 2.4. You may have to make an udev rule to make the controllers work.

@@A_d_e_kCheck out Emilsy's hid_nx kernel module (on GitHub) that fixes the 8bitdo adaptor 2 in s-input. Emilsy's kernel module may be able to resolve the issues with your 8bitdo controllers. If you choose to use Emilsy's kernel module, make sure to blacklist the hid_nintendo driver.

I set up a lot of my games that require emulators by hand (custom scripts I made). I installed cemu via flatpak command (terminal) then created a shortcut in steam with cemu and what game to launch. Furthermore, I have never used Emudeck, so I do not know how Emudeck works.

If you have some money you can also buy a dumper or a hacked switch that can dump roms (unethical advice ahead) you can buy games then dump all the files and roms then return them to the store or resell them back to the used market

While I normally have rumble off, I had the rumble motors working while playing steam games or switch games (actual hardware). Emulation on the other hand, I have never gotten work.

xinput mode uses a dongle that come with the controller. Switch mode uses bluetooth

I found on LMDE if you updated the kernel to 6.4 it runs perfect.

I did not download any drivers. Linux kernel supports xinput and Switch pro controller. Kernel 5.16 added support for the Switch Controllers Steam has Switch pro controllers drivers built in the software as well

Can your computer run dolphin emu?

It does not have gyro and the face buttons are in the wrong spot. Which why I did not get it.

He’s running it through dolphin and he just added the exe to his steam library it takes like 5 minutes to set up

I've created a shortcut in Steam for the flatpak version of dolphin. Within that shortcut tells what game to load. I have my whole library of dumped Wii Games in Steam. I am planing doing the same for GameCube and GBA.

I used Wii U gamecube adapter. This adapter is USB and dolphin emu supports it

@@GXShade That's because if Zelda says Link with the blood moon on screen at the beginning of the cutscene, that means it's the first blood moon, but for the second one and beyond, at the beginning of the cutscene, she says the blood moon rises once again.
