You just need to increase the speed to 10... that's how ir should work....
I don't have a Vitamix. You mixed ingredients incorrectly. You have to measure correct amount. The tamper goes straight down Maybe you need to read recipe book or look at demo's of your model.
It baffles me that people would buy any other blender on the market.
I can’t get the swirl with my vitamix, please help! What am I doing wrong 🥲
I know it's 7 months late but I'm answering in case anyone else had this problem. 1) Make sure you put the ingredients in order of liquid, frozen, other solids, powders. 2) Start your vitamix on the lowest setting (1) to get it going. Don't use the tamper yet. Increase to 5 and start using the tamper to push ingredients down. After everything is roughly blended, then increase to 7-8. The vortex should start forming now. If the vortex isn't starting to form, drop back down to 5 and tamper a little bit more. Once you see the vortex beginning to form, crank it to 10 and you should be good. To Add: You don't necessarily need to do all this to get a perfect Smoothie bowl. Vitamix are very powerful blenders than they can actually heat up the ingredients in the blender if blended for too long. My method is to simply turn the blender on 1 to begin the process, immediately bump to 5 and tamper for 4 seconds, then bump to 10 and keep tampering until it's blended to my likeness. If you blend too long, the frozen ingredients will begin to melt so I try to blend everything within 30 seconds. Hope this helps anyone
I have a tip for a smoothie bowl! While making the smoothie bowl put the bowl in the freezer, helps it stay cold longer.

How long does it take to blend?
Hmm I have a vitamix and not to long, if you have the tamper that helps but sometimes when I am not making that much the tamper won’t really reach so I take the blender if the stand and mix it with a spatula then put it back on and turn it on.
