Grab & Die Set for Coyotes
Most trappers, especially newer ones, have never heard of a Grab and Die set, which means they obviously aren't utilizing them on their lines. As mentioned in the video, I prefer using a bone, but it is illegal in WV to do so. There are multiple ways to make this set, both with a backing and without. In this video, we show you one of the ways we run the set without backing. Please reach out if you have any questions or if we can help you in any way!

Extremely Simple Set + Extremely Good Location = SUCCESSFUL PREDATOR TRAPPING
มุมมอง 4.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
When you find locations like this make sure you set them. We used a drag setup on this location for two reasons. 1. Because it’s heavily traveled. 2. To preserve the set location Often, especially new trappers, want to make things more complicated than they need to be. Don’t spend too much time at your set trying to make sure it looks perfect. We say it over and over again, but there’s a lot of...
A Scent "Post" Set that WILL CATCH!!!
มุมมอง 25K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Too many folks, especially new trappers, hear Scent Post set and think they need to use a literal stick. While that will work, it's a low percentage set compared to other options out there. We use this set all season but almost religiously during breeding season. It is a Scent Marking (Post) / Walkthrough Set. You can do away with the forward grass clump if you like, but we have found that incl...

Coyote Backstraps - It’s What’s For Dinner! 😮 😳 😱 Ever Wonder What a Coyote Tastes Like? Watch!
มุมมอง 4.7K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We cut the backstraps out of a fresh caught coyote and cooked them up in a crock pot Mississippi Mud Roast style. We did this for two reasons: 1. We realize we were trying to flavor a turd. 2. Carnivores are known for carrying parasites so we wanted to make sure the meat was well done to kill anything that might have been in it. Check everything out from start to finish and get our honest feedb...

Minnesota Brand Alpha alongside the K-9 X-Treme JR
มุมมอง 10K2 ปีที่แล้ว
MB recently released their new Alpha #3 dogless trap. We finally bit the bullet and ordered some to see what we thought. Here it is side by side with the K-9 X-treme JR. I’ll post again after the season about what we think once we’ve actually used it.
What's Better Than One Coyote????

It's always nice to pick up a coyote. It's even better to pick up a double. In this video, we do the remake on a version of a dirt hole and a flat set. Hope this helps somebody out there. Enjoy!
You'll Never Believe Why We Turned This Coyote Loose
มุมมอง 298K3 ปีที่แล้ว
While we're passionate about coyote trapping, it pales in comparison to our passion for people. All of us need some grace and mercy from time to time. Hope this videos speaks to someone's heart out there. Tight chains and God Bless!
SIMPLE SET - Eight Coyotes - Same Location - in Thirty Days!
มุมมอง 43K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a simple set we use year round to take coyotes. However, the weather in the East usually creates poor trapping conditions during January and February due to colder temps and high amounts of precipitation, so make some tweaks to the set during those months. We trapped eight coyotes at the same location in a thirty day period using this set. If you'll use this set, we guarantee it will in...
Failed Drag Results in Someone Shooting our Coyote in the Face
มุมมอง 10K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Another coyote trapped on a drag, as well as, the remake. Unfortunately, the drag caught before the coyote could get to cover, and it resulted in someone shooting it in the face with a shotgun before we could get to it. With that being said, this is a prime example as to why its beneficial to run drags in locations that get a lot of traffic.
Catching Coyotes in Cable Restraints
มุมมอง 20K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Many trappers struggle with the idea of catching predators in cables. However, it's actually very effective and a great addition to your trapping arsenal, especially when the weather turns bad. Hope you find this helpful. If so, please Subscribe and click the notification bell.
Small Black Bear Release
มุมมอง 17K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Education is the key to helping people understand trapping. It is often painted in a negative light, so we are working diligently to change that. However, we realize there are many people, regardless of how hard we try to educate, who will never agree that ethical, humane trapping is necessary to maintain a healthy, thriving ecosystem. In this video, we successfully release a small bear and exp...
Think Like a Predator
มุมมอง 13K3 ปีที่แล้ว
More often than not, we are more successful on the trapline when we start thinking like the critters we are chasing. The cat and mouse game is awesome and often requires us to continue learning and adapting. We punched this set in after we figured out what the coyotes were up to. Hope this helps somebody out there!

I agree with all the man said and did, and if you did as well, so as not to mess with your present mood, don't read the rest of this post. Thing is, this and other such animals don't deserve to die, there is no sin in doing as they must do to live, as in eating, so the Lord has nothing against them. Little is given to animals, as in brain power, so little is ecpected of them. Sure, there is an excellent point to what happened here, its just a shame its isnt taken a step further. Fact is, Jesus is willng to forgive and save not just one, but all of us, and since people are the only real guilty parties here, at least in the realm were speaking in, all animals should be allowed to live unless they are mankillers...also biblical. However, we were given dominion over the animals, and though I doubt I could ever do this type work, I get it. I only wish there was a better way. Actually there are ways these animals could live out ther lives, but it takes money, and even though there are lives at stake, it looks like the cheapest way to handle this, at least for the moment, is the way people choose to handle it...aint that always the way. Either way, no judgment here, but did want to add a few points, and remember, I did warn you. Peace. (Excuse me now I have the sudden urge to hug a tree. Guess im just getting old, at least that's the only ecuse I can think of for all this.

Great thing letting him go, I could counter EVERYTHING you state without getting personal. I too WAS a hunter trapper...WAS...too often we fall for the bs spewed by agencies claiming animals are the problem, costing farmers, insurers, etc ...MONEY...Sometimes its human expansion causing the problems. ...God bless you for putting faith and family ahead....

Never understood why folks want to kill coyotes so much. Because of deer, their chickens, their dogs? All they do is what they were made for. Yet the same folks will let a child molester walk among us.

What works for me , I get the peat moss at the start of the growing season and put it in a barrel and will dry out . Be ready for the season and I only sift it when I put it over the trap after I bed the trap in it . What I mean is that after i got my stakes in the ground and have the trap open ready to set I put a layer of peat moss on the ground and then I I bed my trap , The peat moss is not sifted any sticks in the way I take them out other wise I just bed the trap in it and make sure it dose not move in any way , then I put my pan cover that is waxed paper that is under the loose jaw and then I sift the peat moss over the trap. after I get what I need . I use dry dirt over it or small stains of grass to cover it . Depending on the type of set. There is some brands of peat moss you will see it is mainly clean and do not need to do anything. Other is like in the video .This works for me . Just to give some ideas . But like in the video . Make sure your peat moss is dry before use .
