Why can't i get this offset smoker up to temp?

I bought one. I’d just as soon try to stuff a herd of feral cats in a duffel bag. I looked like a Neanderthal with a gyroscope trying to set that stupid thing up in even the slightest breeze.

I kinda did the same intuitively... but I am still not sure... the pipe is not sealed, there are holes in sides, why it dies not simply leak when turned on?

Side burner - set piece 24 in the burner cavity. Line up the valves so that the knob attachment is flush front right wall of the grill. It’s hard but use GG on the front to secure it. The knob and its little plate go on the outside. Not sure if there is a specific orientation. Attach knob. All that’s left for the side burner is to screw it in with GG. I can’t figure out the igniter pin

Thats a very cheaply made smoker. That metal will warp after a few uses snd is going to leak smoke badly . The fire box is also not that big .

These chairs are so comfy. No regrets. Only issue is, I struggled about as much as she did to put it back in the bag. Not impossible, but not exactly easy without help. I haven't been able to fold it up quite as tight and nice as it was when it was originally packaged.
