At least you are keeping your topics on local and neigborhood issues. Here in Memphis in my neighborhood people will post like it’s their X or Facebook and it has absolutely nothing to do with neighborhood or community at all. The two times I’ve brought it up on threads, I’ve been given the “it’s called free speech, it’s my right!” Does this happen a lot in y’all’s areas? When I lived in San Diego area they knew how to stick to the point of the app but not here.

There's some creeps and weirdos on that app. Especially women mommas out there. Wanting a random Stranger to pick up their child and take them home???. Or in need of drugs. Nextdoor should be sued just on violating our 1st amendment right, freedom of speech! I'm not on either just for checking for sale stuff, in which illegal activity is happening. And a lot of scams artist, especially from the Spanish community. And to get heads up if there's anything going on in my neighborhood. Like when I caught some guy roll into my drive way on his bike, I came out to just miss him, so he rolled away. So I posted letting others know what, when , where & whom, the key was homeless where they disabled my acct. And another post where a neighbor had someone suspicious lurking around who assualted his neighbor. The area the poster lives in is pretty bad, alot of places around me are pretty bad. So when looking for some direction, advice even help an app can be of very useful if not informative to someone who's lost with not feeling safe where cops could care less. The problem is giving your input to helping neighbors is against nextdoors policies. Everything is against their policies. If apps aren't in favors or useful to people they should be taken down. Cause the app does not benefit or represent the name it calls itself! Useful information that can save some life's should be made a available for anybody looking for it. Especially threats in neighborhoods thru out our states. This should be a giving. We do not need people overlooking us like parents. We are grown ups. We don't need law enforcement or Govn't telling us anything when it comes to our health & safety of ours! & We difinetely don't need their interference in our hometurf. They had their chance & they have failed us horrible. Immigrants don't follow laws, then why should illegals have all the fun?

What makes you comfortable exposing the way in which someone survives without offering genuine perspective or assistance ?

Very positive video, David... really appreciate the candid perspective. We're having huge problems with Nextdoor in my area because perfectly reasonable people are getting silenced and banned. If ever there was a need for our legislators to recognize that social media has an obligation to the public to maintain some open opportunity for dialogue, this would be that moment in history. The Feds already did something similar in regard to misinformation and it's common knowledge a certain administration tried to manipulate social media by using takedown tactics. It's time for these giants to have at least some form of oversight to prevent them from steamrolling citizens.

Nextdoor is nothing more than a leftist piece of crap, you at nextdoor will be put out of business because we will make sure 50 percent of your users are done. Let's see how you survive that.

I have read this book and loved it. However, the Authors description has intrigued me and I feel as if I have missed some of the deeper messages of the characters. I will be reading it again.

Hi, I was hoping you might answer a question for me please. Last March I had an operation on my finger, which was nearly severed off from a dog bite. I was put under a general anaesthetic and after the operation when I was awake and in the ward. The anaesthesia doctor came up and saw me and asked me how much I remembered from my surgery?, I said I didn't remember anything, why are you asking? He didn't say anything further. Why would he ask that please?

I read Havana Deception and can definitely see a good movie being made from it.

I recently made a post on NextDoor called Mayhem in My Neighborhood where I told the stories about my personal experiences with the Crime Wave in my area and the Governments Response to it. How the Police essentially told me that if there is no physical violence loss of life or limb, the call is not prioritized, therefor leading to them not showing up to the scene for over an hour multiple times. I discussed My Conversations with the Police where I asked them what We could do as Civilians to Help Them do Their Jobs to the best of their abilities and you know what they told me to do? “Discuss it!! Talk to people so there will be More people who ask our Government to give Law Enforcement the funding they need for training and support. So that’s what I did. I wrote about this on NextDoor and my Post of 15k views (3 days) and I was helping people come together with our similarities instead of just focusing on our differences and whose Political Party is to Blame. We were making Progress!!! It was AMAZING!!! The NextDoor Monitors Deleted my post. First off warning me that Bullying was Not Allowed and referred me to a comment section of my post that specifically pointed out This conversation: “Angela-You are One Brave Woman!” I responded by saying-“Thank You! However, I’m not sure if I’m “Brave” or just plain “Stupid”. Telling Me that I was Bullying “Myself”???? What??? They denied my Appeal. So I went back on NextDoor and wrote another post about my experience with the Monitors. And was scolded and warned by monitors who have me a link to the Community Guidelines and Standards stating that Users are not allowed to complain about the Monitoring Tactics of the Monitors. Then another Monitor said “Your post was not deleted for calling yourself stupid. It was a Controversial Post and was not fit for this forum.” So I asked if we were in N. Korea, China, Russia. And they said “this is a privately Owned Company and we get to decide what goes on in our living room. That talking Negatively about the Police and how they handle crime in the area only stirs the pot”. So I replied asking “So, are we only allowed to Praise them?” And then one monitor replied, “Now you’re just sucking all the air out of the room.” I said “No Sharron, no. You just forgot to Breathe.” And swiftly deleted my Account!!! This is Not the United States of America I know. Not the America I pay Taxes For! These Large Companies are supposed to be held under the same umbrella of Laws we are, and yet it is legal for them to Censor based on Privatized Loopholes which allow them to make choices like This. If we are Given No Outlet or place to observe our Amendment Rights, then…. Do we actually obtain them at all? Where are we Allowed to air our grievances? Privately? Quietly in our own homes? Where are we to go where we can Legally Observe the Rights we Pay with our Hides for??? Because, as far as I can tell, they have found every loop hole and gap in the system and are taking full advantage of Controlling what we say to each other even when we are Not breaking Any Laws by doing and/or SAYING what we feel is Right and Just. In no way did I insight violence, in fact I spoke very loudly against it. I did not Name call, I did not endorse Hate Speech. I was bringing to light the Issues we Face as a Community and because it wasn’t all farts of roses, and did what as known as “Stirring the Proverbial Pot” they deleted EVERYTHING!!! Alllll of my Hard work of bringing people together, destroyed. Since Companies are Actually the True Leaders of this Country, how long before Every Single Right we’ve ever known and worked for is removed from our abilities to Observe them. They “Say” that we Have all these Rights. But give us No Outlet to Use them. I fear it’s Much Much Much Stronger and Deeper than we think. I am just, sickened and I fear we are in Immediate and Irrational Danger of losing Everything!!! Can’t you See it??? Or do you still believe the Illusion fed to us in Glorious GasLit Propagandas. The systems are Broken and Outdated and Underperforming on Every Level. And we just want to wait for someone Else to fix it. That it’s Everyone Elses Fault!!
