Installing Passenger Side Windows - Ex AA Van Camper Conversion
Hi guys and welcome to the next video In my camper van conversion series!
Today we are installing the passenger side windows!
It’s only a short video as our little girl was refusing to go down for a nap lol, but I got pretty much all the important parts in.
Any questions, feel free to ask 😊
After doing the rear window and drivers side window, we felt like we were starting to get the hang of this 😝
As long as you have the right tools, it’s actually not too bad doing this with no experience.
Please help me out by giving this video and like, and please subscribe to follow the conversion journey ( as well as my everyday life and travel Vlogs )
Happy Tubing xox

Hi guys and welcome to the next video in my camper conversion series! Today we are fitting the rear window… oh what a joy that was haha 😬 It felt so wrong to be cutting through our Van…. But it all worked out in the end. The U channel was a bit too big for its purpose… Shane made it work though but he’s since spoke with the company and left feedback about that ( he will explain more about that ...

But today we talk through the process, tools you need and...

Hi guys and welcome! In todays video, it’s our last day in the beautiful beach town of Southampton. We decided to take a walk first thing in the morning to go get some breakfast at a great little cafe. The food was really tasty and not stupidly overpriced. Ruby also really enjoyed smiling and waving at everybody in there haha! After breakfast, we had a little walk around and then went back to o...

Hi guys and welcome to the next camper conversion instalment! In todays video, we get our pop top fitted at Skyline Roofs - unfortunately we don’t have any footage of the roof being done 😔 But we show you the before and after and go in to the finer details of what we have to do to complete it. Normally, Skyline would fully finish it but as we still needed to wire in our lights and 360 camera, w...

Looks like the little one is having an awesome time , children are just precious gifts we invest our time with .
Yeah she loves the park, always smiling and wanting to try anything new 😊 She’s definitely a precious gift to me 🥰
You saved me and my gf a lot of rage and disappointment thank you so much ! This is the exactly the kind of stuff we hate. we’re staying in a 5 star hotel so money is not an issue but value for money is key.
Yeah that’s the point, you want good value for what you’re paying. A lot of people have a great time here but for us it was a money grabbing experience and a huge let down, especially after we paid so much for the “special” tickets as well.
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs yeah does not surprise me what you find with most places is that the popular places are the worst as they just jump on the tourist bandwagon. where as there will be so much better hidden gems if you look hard enough.
Great place to go, don’t bother with Sauble Beach, the SHITHOLE of Ontario
Yeah Southampton was such a lovely town, very laid back and peaceful, beautiful beaches and lots of pretty homes to look at. We did go to Sauble as my husband went there a lot as a kid with his dad. But I do prefer Southampton 👌🏻 I’ve had a few people say that Sauble isn’t what it used to be unfortunately.
Van is looking good! 😊😊. Y'all are doing a great job on it!
Thank you so much 😊 We can’t wait to get it done and finally go out camping in it 🤩
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs You're Welcome 😁🤗
Complete SHIT HOLE, avoid at all costs, residents are reprobates, its a mess
I feel your pain! I’m converting an ex-AA van too… very nearly finished it. Doing the windows was pretty awful. We had the same issue with our (plastic) mastic gun, which resulted in problems with the side window we fitted to the sliding door. The gun literally snapped and I had no chance getting an even bead. We bought a much better one for the rear window. There’s so little room to put your beading when the u channelling goes on that back window - it’s tough! My window isn’t perfect (there are a few little smears of mastic I wish weren’t there) but I’m pretty happy looking back. To be fair, it’s probably the toughest job (and certainly the most nerve wracking). I’ll follow your build with interest! Good luck!
Good vid 👍
Ahh thank you ☺️
Outdoor have a major blast at that sale , any and everything imaginable is there . Just so awesome .
Think I would of paid up toget that job done Thanks
It wasn’t too bad to be fair, Shane enjoyed it ( to an extent haha ) and our friend helped us out too. I think it was done in just a couple hours 😊
Still rattles like a what?? Hehe
You don’t wanna know haha 😝
Awesome vlog 😊
Ahh thank you 😊
A lot nicer than the Southampton we have here in the UK lol
I've been with the wife it was one of the best night we ever had. Had table service and we had to wait in a que but thats not a issue. I think you really are cluthing at straws and just dissing the place you practically made yourself hate the place.
Cute!🌼🌼🌼
Thank you ☺️
Yellow with the black top looks pretty nice👏
Yeah it does, it really changes the look of it 😁
How come you only used the roller on the wheel arches and not on every sheet you put on? And why did you remove the anti vibration foam from the rear registration plate? looking good so far! 🤓
Thanks, yeah we are loving how it’s turning out so far 😁 And we forgot about the roller untill the last minute 😂 I think with the foam on the plate, it didn’t match the new plate we were putting on? Can’t quite remember the actual reason Shane took it off lol 😊
Nice one for sure, good to have you can be on the road all the time with the family. Like the old diesels better though, these add blue engines sometimes make you go back to the garage.
Yeah he’s a great looking van - and even more so with the pop top now on and all the windows too ( videos to come ) We’ve heard mixed things about the AddBlue, I just hope we don’t get any big issues.
Good until the wet belt lets go
The garage changed the wet belt for us before they let us take it away. They did a couple other jobs as well ( pump etc )
@HelenHollywoodVlogs thankyou for your reply , that’s reassuring to hear - I used to go into Exeter diesels a lot back in the day , be strict with your servicing / oil changes . Happy travels.
We go to cancun next month and all the workmates have said it’s a must but reading the comments , I’m not so sure now !
If you’re planning on going and just staying down on the main floor, drinking and dancing, then it should be a fun night. But the staff will expect huge tips, even if you’ve paid a premium to get inside. It’s potentially a great night for most people, I wanted it to be but our experience was just really disappointing.
It's amazing
Where is the big screen in the dashboard i don't like the small radio screen in some transits i would go for one with the big touch screen
Yeah we don’t like the small screen either. We ordered a double din radio ( think that’s what it’s called ) before we picked the van up. So it’s a much bigger screen and it’s a “smart” one too. We will be doing a video of the installation of that soon enough 😁 I can’t stand standard radio systems lol.
Have the AA looked after the wiring after they decommissioned it
@@vwgolffancarreviews7111 yeah it’s been thoroughly looked after. We have a full service history of the van as well. We are the first people to own it since the AA had it. It went to a garage in Exeter. Luckily, they serviced it before it hey let us have it and they changed the wet belt for us and a few other bits as well, which saved us a £1200 job. And it only has 65,000 miles which is great for the year.
@@HelenHollywoodVlogsthats will be a good Van to live in
@@vwgolffancarreviews7111 yeah it’s going to be awesome once we’ve got it fully done. It’s going to take a while, but at least when we have the basics done ( insulated and carpeted) that means we can camp in it for race weekends or random weekends away.
Da fuck are the masks all about in 2023 ?
This was January 2022 - there were still loads of restrictions in place
Awwww the excitement really comes across in this video! Looking forward to seeing the transformation of the van and all the travel and fun you'll have!
Ahh thank you so much Rob 😁 🥰 I still feel excited now when I look at it, watching it come together bit by bit, getting excited at the thought of all the adventures to come. We can’t wait to carry on sharing our journey in our Bumblebee 🤩
Thanks for the information, I rather spend that kinda of money on a Vegas Show.
Vegas is way better for sure. I’ve been a couple times and seen a show each time which was really enjoyable and worth the money
Good job bro! Keep going!😮
Thanks 😁
Get a nibbler mate
Oh what’s that, never heard of it?
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs it attaches to a drill and cuts sheet metal. Not expensive. Leaves a much nicer edge and follows the line.
Do you need a passport to cross and come back? Or is ID enough? Maybe birth certificate??
Yeah you need your passport and you also need an ESTA or a visa - if you don’t have those, you won’t be able to pass through the American security checkpoint unfortunately. You also have to pay a little fee which is around $6. But it depends on where you’re from. If you’re an American or Canadian citizen, the rules are different and I think then all you need is a passport
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs thank you for replying!
@@arianasuarez3011 No worries at all 😊
I’m 55 this year … my family owned an A frame cottage at Sauble Beach … Granma and Granpas place … we’ve gone there since I was 2 … this video makes me sad … really sad because I have so many memories of Sauble … my cousins sister and brother playing at G and Gs place on the swing rope … swimming at the beach … jumping on trampolines at “Jumpin’ Jimmies”… fishing … not wearing shoes or sandals for 9 days straight because it was sand sidewalks everywhere … getting a tshirt every summer as your souvenir from “ Jeff’s Tshirt Shop” at the corner of the main drag and beach road which is now Lakeshore Store it looks like … marshmallow fires … ahhh … I’m sad … this place isn’t retro at all , not even close … it’s built up cement everywhere commercialism now 😔… a shame … congratulations to the Saugeen Nation on your court decision … I remember also well my Indigenous friends from childhood I would play with on summer vacations … oh for the old times again and that Sauble was still there actually being retro
Aww your message was sad to read, because I feel your pain for wanting and longing for “those good old days” I understand what you mean, remembering the good old days of childhood. My husband came here as a kid with his dad during the summers and has lots of fond memories. I would have loved to see this place back in the day 😮
We going tonight and if we get same service as you I'll leave an demand refund and go look around cancun
Always wanted to visit Canada tbh, hopefully one day? You don’t often associate Beaches with Canada either but this looks lush!
Yeah I don’t think of beaches when I think of Canada, and all the beaches are a part of a gigantic lake 😮 it’s so big it looks like the ocean 🌊 Definitely get yourself over there when you get a chance, it’s lovely and so are the people 😊
Beautiful view 💜👩🏻👋
Thank you 😊 And yeah the views from my dads house are stunning. That was my childhood home and I always appreciated all the countryside around 🌲
What room please?
Room 2711. Any room ending with 11 at this hotel will be one of these corner rooms 😊
You had that experience because you didn’t tip. No tipping = disrespect = u get sh*t service. Idc where you came from or if tipping means rip off for you. You’re visiting a country and a place where tipping (money) talks. You don’t have to give $20 just $3 even will help.
They demanded $125 from each of us… that’s much more than a rip off lol!! And we tipped after each service we were given in other places. The whole point of tipping is because you’ve been given a service 🙄
Then dont go to a tourist trap, go to Vegas thats not a ripoff! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
We wanted to go though. Saw videos of the show etc and it looked great. Which I’m sure it is if you can actually enjoy it. It just turned out to be a bad night and that’s that. Been to vegas twice, it’s definitely a rip off in places lol but also fun. Different times, different situations.
Is a night club and if you dont have the attitude of tipping and getting favors then the club scene is not for you! BTW i do tip my waiter and he was A+++++
I’ve been to Coco Bongo many times and I have never had problems. Bought the Gold pass and went to the front of the line, got a good seat and our waiters and waitresses were amazing! I never expect to go to a night club and eat but instead we drink and enjoy and the show is amazing! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
We bought a table down on the floor level and i had a fucking blast dancing haha... i barely watched the show, i was there to party
Should I go any night? I have a chance to do cinco de mayo do they have that jazzed up for tourists? (Ik it's not really big in Mexico) but could see them catering to tourists that night lol
Totally enjoyed the sights and awesomeness of Turkey which is rich in history , thank you so much for sharing this video , i will definitely be visiting Turkey in the near future but my first trip will be to Romania which will be next year . Love and enjoy watching ur videos you guys are awesome .
Ahh you’re very welcome, thank you 😊 Definitely add this place to your bucket list, and enjoy Romania 🇷🇴
Looks amazing 🤩
Yeah it was a stunning boutique hotel, I’d happily stay there again. And the old town area of Antalya is beautiful, I’d highly recommend it 😊
Hello, Do you know why your channel is not getting views and subscribes ? Because your channel is not doing proper SEO it is not reaching people.
I truly am enjoying these videos with the amazing history and beautiful scenery .
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that 😊 I have plenty more videos to upload still from my other holidays ( Canada, Mallorca, Mexico and Cornwall lol! ) So keep an eye out as there are loads more on the way 😊
Definitely looking forwards to watching them .
Now that's what I'm talking about , yes I too love history , and by the looks of this video I can see that Turkey is definitely one of the places I plan to visit , I'll be putting it on my bucket list of places to visit with lots of history , one of the first places I will be going to next year is Romania .
Ooh I’d love to go to Romania too! That’s one of the places on my list 😁 And definitely go take a visit to southern Turkey, in and around Antalya there are so many Roman ruins you can visit. We didn’t get any spare time on this visit but when we go back, we plan on going to see some amphitheatre ruins 🤩
Just so awesome
Yeah being able to see all this Roman stuff was so interesting. I love history and this hotel was packed full of artefacts 😮
Just breath taking scenery , awesome
Yeah it’s a beautiful place, you can see it better in the drone shots in my newest video 😮
What drone did you used and are there any restrictions about drones over there?
Hiya, I use the DJI Mini 2. It’s very user friendly, very easy to use. It’s also under the weight that a lot of places restrict ( some bigger drones are forbidden to be flown in a lot of places ) but if you go for the mini 2 or mini 3, they carry no restrictions as such. There are still certain areas where you can’t fly any drones ( any airspace/airports for example or military areas ) But I found no restrictions whilst I was using it in Antalya 😊
@@HelenHollywoodVlogs I'm currently using the 1st Gen Mavic it's around 470g Was your experience with the airlines and customs smooth as well?
@@kby0414 yeah I carried it in my hand luggage. When going through security at the airport, I got it out and had it in its case ( with the case open ) as it went through the x-Ray machine. I had no issues. I’ve taken it on several different airlines now as it’s been to Mexico with me, Canada and Mallorca as well
Omg that food buffet looks amazing 🤩
The breakfast buffet was amazing 🤩 Dangerous too because I kept going back for more 😆
Really nice there, watching the rest later👏
Thank you for watching, hope you enjoy the rest when you get a chance to watch ☺️ And yeah Antalya is such a lovely place, I highly recommend staying in the old town. The little streets, the old buildings, the harbour and Hadrians Gate are all within a good walking distance of each other. We are going back in September ☀️
beautiful
Yes it’s a beautiful city, thank you 😊
Great video 👍
