monto unos nankang NS-2R cuando entro al circuito, por el hecho de no preocuparme por los neumáticos, si vas a entrar por primera vez, por probar, con unos neumáticos de calle con la presión correcta ya va bien, sobre todo en el circuito de navarra que es bastante grande y no se sobrecargan los neumáticos en curvas consecutivas, si luego ya ves que le vas a dar mas caña al coche en circuito y buscar el limite del coche, estaría bien que tuvieras un juego extra, así si revienta un neumático o te quedas sin , cambias y a casa

para que te hagas una idea, cuando voy de ruta, me siento mas cómodo con los neumáticos de calle que con los semislicks que uso para circuito, en el circuito de navarra si hubiera entrado con los de calle casi no hubiera hechado en falta los semis, pero en un circuito ratonero como el de la ribera son esenciales los semislicks para que reaccionen los neumáticos cuando quieres

@@adrianroman4946 no se cuanta potencia tendrá tu coche, pero yo que solo destrozo los neumáticos en curva, llevo 4 días de circuito y unos 1500km de carretera y aun están por 70% aproximadamente, antes me quedare sin flancos que sin banda de rodadura, los NS-2R son de compuesto duro y hasta que no los calientas con ganas no empiezan a gastarse

I don´t understand your values, 36 ohm and 42 ohm seems are you measuring another place or component, when the welder are on maximum welding setting, potentiometer must measure 0 ohm, ( leaving out the restriction on the regulator ) and another value on your minimum point, when you find the correct value, if you want I can tell you the value of new potenctiometer and the resistance to put it in parallel to the potentiometer watch if there are any component in parallel to the potentiometer Your welder has another electric board before the main coil? if you had certain range between 1/16 and 1/8 of turn in the potentiometer, must mean that your welder needs certain voltage range to work, in that case, you need a potentiometer of 10 ohms, 36 ohm in serial in the center of the potentiometer and a 15 ohm resistance in parallel between in and out on the potentiometer, but tell me again the values before do nothing

@@AGwheelsports I have the same board that you added with the 500k potentiometer. With my welder on max setting I had to turn the potentiometer almost all the way to the right to get the wire to start to melt and stick to metal. That was the .036 ohms and I only had about a 1/8 inch or less to zero out the potentiometer which would have been at its max. That was measured at in and out of the potentiometer. Sorry that I may not be explaining it very well again I am no expert on this. But sure appreciate all your help.

one follower says (it´s surely true) this type of regulator works cutting part of every sinusoidal wave of the AC current. Convert this "cutted current" to DC, Can make the welder works by pulses instead a linear output current

@@AGwheelsports thank you for getting back to me. I did read that under your comments. But if the welder is AC then the rectifier is connected to the out going side of the transformer which then is positive ground and negative to the wire feed gun, is that just DC at that point? Sorry I am not educated much in this area. Also can you tell me where you purchased your Speed Controller? I can’t find one that looks like yours to where I can connect the 2 small wires from the wire feed motor to the speed control. Thank you Gary

Must be mounted as you say, transformers only works in AC, conecting rectifier before the transformer will let the transformer useless, and maybe working as a induction heater Search in internet the regulator, mine is bought in aliexpress, I mounted the regulator with same quality as the welder, cheap an chinese The wire feed motor with my mod doesn´t change nothing and works normally, if you are trying to convert to DC, you must change the board of the feed motor for another who works with 220/125v AC to (motor voltage)AC, the stock board of the welder works with 2-3V AC, taked from the output of the welder, don´t know if its posible modify the board, but sure it´s easyer find another better

In the second part of the mod, you will see the part of "press to weld" using the regulator, but yes, it can be made with a relay

Is that what your dial is for? I have a larger chicago electric 220 i think. I commented on a couple peoples mod videos so i apologize.

@@DerfOrNuffin put this mod on your welder directly, the switches give current to different coils; internally, if I remember correctly, it has four coils; if you want, you can leave only one connected directly, and with my mod, regulate the intensity of the welding, but it is more useful to have the four and have fine adjustment in four intensity ranges, to put a potentiometer directly on the coils, you need a potentiometer that can withstand too much current, it will be huge and expensive.

@@AGwheelsports A relay is the way to go to eliminate the hot tip problem...however it needs another video to get the right one

If the surface of the shoe is smooth, like leather or plastic, the masking tape must remain glued to the shoe, if the surface are porouse like fabric or reversed leather I can´t help you, I have never try it , but if you try to paint in a porouse surface with glued stencils , you leave the external lines of your shape irregular and difuminated

@@cri8tor 220v-10A, is an old relay i was found at my workshop, but don´t worry about finding a special relay, think what we are handling signal currents, doesn´t pass too much amperage in the relay

I'm using 120V-20A to power my welder, so I should be able to use a 125V-3A relay to stop the gun from being hot until I squeeze the trigger switch. Does that sound reasonable?

@@cri8tor I don´t know If I understand your question well, with the relay that you are using..., ¿ you cut the main power with the relay ? in that case, no, don´t mount a smaller relay, My mod cuts the signal of the voltage regulator, and the regulator cuts all the amperage of the coil, I can mount a smaller relay, due to the low intensity of the signal needed to "close" the circuit of the main coil throught the voltage regulator (the chromed box in the first video) ¿is that your question?

yes, The mod is between the main power switch and the " power switches", the power switches defines the maximum range of the welder, and then the mod makes the fine tuning

onefive0800 gracias, no soy chapista de autos ni pintor, ni nada, solo me gusta pintar mucho, pinte toda mi casa con pistola y no con rodillo como todos, nunca hice ningun estudio, me informo un poco por internet y eso saludos!

soy pintor de brocha y mi consejo es si vas a pintar tu casa es mejor con rodillo y brocha porque asi queda mas gruesa la capa de pintura y te durara mas . ya que sprayada queda muy delgada la capa. a menos que le des dos o tres pasadas de pintura y con brocha y rodillo puede quedarte solo con una . bueno tambien depende de la calidad de pintura que uses ...saluditos

cinta de carrocero estándar, el anillo de fuera esta cortado con bisturí con la mano quieta y girando la rueda , tiempo de secado, no me la jugué, lo deje un día entero, pero si tienes prisa para hacer multicapas, al acabar de pintar la capa que has pintado, pinta una muestra, luego mira el tiempo de secado de la pintura y cuando pase ese tiempo, mira si resiste apegar bien la cinta de carrocero o rayarla, en ese punto ya puedes empezar, solo vigila haber echado la misma capa en la muestra que en lo que pintes, o incluso si haces mas capa estarás seguro que resistirá la que estas pintado
