Why Casablanca Is The Greatest Romance Film Ever Made
The most annoying part of this movie is when they switch to black and white to show it's the past. If you just made good dialogue and a semi-sensible timeline, and any plot line, you wouldn't need to assume the viewer is lost in time and space. It felt like the entire movie was a trailer. Or like they filmed each individual scene entirely separately of each other. Literally feels stitched together. You can spend 10 minutes in a communist party with no needed details for the story, everyone yelling. Then the next scene you're an indefinite time in the future, getting hired at a school, talking to Einstein, and starting a program in 3 minutes, with almost no dialogue.
I wanted to like this movie but holy Jeez is it boring.
Chris Stuckman liked this movie and it shocked me. I sat in the theater because my date wanted to go see a movie for our date (always the worst date idea to me), and I was twisting in my chair to this crap. That stupid cat that has to always live and the non main characters that all have an IQ of 3. If you like watching two hours of cliches and the most predictable death scenes of all time then you’d like this. Also if you like lots and lots of bloodless, “disappear into the mist”, PG 13 style deaths then you’d also love this.
When I've done catching you know what I said.. I said This is a documentary not a movie😂😂😂
I'm glad the movie reception was better than your take and most of these comments. Such a shallow and poorly thought take with poor analysis of the scenes and story beats. You literally took everything at face value and barely at that?
Kenny's grandmother?
The most well loved superhero movies aren’t cinematic universes um did you forget about a little film called avengers endgame
My biggest gripes with the movie were that A. The character of Eric is an insufferable pussy. B. The logic and laws of what does and doesn't set the demons off make no sense. They can scream at the top of their lungs over thunder which, is never loud enough to drown out the sound of a human scream, but pretty sure it's on a different frequency. And how a shirt ripping got buddy killed but Eric gasping for air out of the water on 2 occasions didn't tip them off ? Especially when once was out in the open and the second was with one of them literally chasing them. And also that bloody cat. Idc how good of a cat you have, NO cat is going to tolerate being plummeted into water. Especially one that, I'm going to assume has never actually been exposed to something like that. Sure, the actual cats are trained for that, and I severely doubt they actually pulled cats through deep water. But this was a cancer patient's therapy cat. I severely doubt it's had more exposure than the inside of her hospice room or apartment and being carried around in a bag. I do also agree that the idea that they just all suddenly know what to do amongst the literal first appearance of these demons is ludicrous. I would have been way more about it if they never introduced Eric, and they explored the actual origins of the demons. The plot of a cancer riddled girl still wanting pizza through a literal apocalypse is shallow and contrived. The only insight we got to the demons was them eating ... pods ? That the cat was also eating .. ? I just think that whatever world building that was already established just got muddled with this movie cause it ultimately doesn't make sense
Excellent analysis- you pointed out so many key points. Great time of year to watch!
How did you not come to the same conclusion with films one and two? lol. I understand far fetched concepts but this franchise is ridiculous. Back in the day people screamed about water killing the aliens from signs even though they were on earth in an atmosphere full of it and I thought that was pretty harsh and still enjoyed the movie but spaceshipless comet riding aliens that can only feed while hearing noises subsequently quieter then their own upon hearing is ridiculous and the continuous sub plots of everyone being fine around loud things only to then be killed making the tiniest of sounds during quiet moments!??
I was bored watching this movie. I don't understand why people are masturbating over this movie.
The first movie was difficult to watch but it was an interesting sandbox scenario about what happens in a micro scale in a rotten society. No sequel was needed.
Well said
Joker 1: director: I want to do a remake of Taxi Driver. producer: we only have money for Superhero movies. director: it's a deal!
Joker 2: Director: well everyone loved my remake of taxi driver and the king of comedy so in the sequel I’ll remake some lame musical Producer: just make sure you make the protagonist get gay raped. Everybody loves gay rape. Director: it’s a deal!
just after the first film I met a guy who was a big fan and had an even bigger tattoo of Joaquin Joker on his arm. I wonder how he feels about it now.
😂
Oh poor, poor guy...
A musical?! Not an easy undertaking, and not really appropriate for something dark I’m thinking
Not at all!
I was never a fan of the original film, but I did enjoy watching it for the cinematography. Then I read the sequel was a musical I was very disappointed. No wonder fans are trashing it. Thanks for your insight.
Exactly, the first film can be appreciated even if you don’t like it but for this, everything just clashes
4:40 It is an all on purpose troll to the studio demanding another #JOKERBILLIONFILM . TODD SAYS NO CLEARLY 😂❤🎉. Bring back real comedy's!
Don't like movies with super annoying black actors in the lead..... Hollywood is now a Nigerian film industry with almost every actor in lead is black, she is scary & disappointing & rude than the invading monsters... Totally sucks
what about andor’s camera placement is bad??? it knows when to make a scene feel claustrophobic and oppressive to fit the mood, but it also looks absolutely gorgeous
I completely agree, I think that 45 minutes of this movie could have easily been cut out because of how boring they were.
Isnt the "event tying it all together" the nuclesr test itself? But yes this movie fell flat.
Hey review megalopolis.
01:53 thank you
Hmmm. Idk
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Let the movie nerds cry. It was boring an no human reason to ever watch it again. No great parts besides Flopughs underdeveloped breasts.
This is literally exactly what I was saying while watching this! It’s almost crazy lol. But I 100% agree with this vid!
I’d take you serious if your video didn’t look terrible. I personally wouldn’t ridicule something I couldn’t achieve myself
Zegler forgets -the movie needs to make money and her selfish attitude had the movie cancelled at one point so how about she gets paid nothing as there is no profit from it.
If it was made today it would be all preachy and political. It dealt so well with all the different groups and characters.
I managed to watch an hour but it was so boring. I thought it would be on a grand scale this time. Also where are all the bodies? The city is literally empty 🙄
A Quiet Woke Place
you can not like this film but the film is not garbage at all that is such an over statement
I litterally thought I was the only person who thought the direction in this movie was bad. Glad I'm not alone and one person on the internet agrees the 3 hour length is no where near justified
Theres a reason why Tolkien's work is studied in higher education classrooms and Harry Potter is not
glad im not the only one.. haha just watched it tonight and there basically is no story... its called DAY 1 but... we get no incite or are shown anything. adds nothing to the universe. gutted
loved this movie
This movie suck 😡
This channel really turned into an alt-right salt machine. Unsubscribed. Hope you meet the sun soon because you need to grow up spiritually.
Seems like they ALL go for any random noise caused by people. And complete ignore noise made by walking debris’s and rusty swings. Dumb. Just carry a bunch of crap in you pocket. They’ll run in the opposite direction if you throw anything. No one does that.
Why THE F*CK to they crouch when they sneak around?! They KNOW they can’t see. Stupid.
The movie doesn’t establish any rules for the sound thing. 1) they already established the aliens can’t hear people if they are more quite then the ambient environment (rain, waterfall). So why the F*CK can they hear a slight mumble Ian a loud turbulent sewer?! 2) they make the city seem as quite as a sound booth. Wind is loud, birds are loud. How can a lain hear a foot step but doesn’t react to a rusty swing?! Can it magically tell a person isn’t there?! 3) why do the aliens eat again? random alien Eggs? What?! Who lays them?! Stupid. 4) aliens can hear a mumble in a loud ass sewer, fine, but can’t hear a heart beat from 6 inches away?! Explain! 5) why can’t the military fight these things again?! Explain! God this movie needs to have better writing.
The cat was used as a crutch for most of the movie, everyone loves animals, but we're supposed to care about the humans too, so if you were more worried about the animal then you're obv a bit effed in the head. The movie punishes you for this, by the end the cat seemingly out of nowhere means nothing and She dumps it on the wimpy white dude.I liked the cat mostly cause it was cute, and she sucks ass for leaving him behind, but all in all the movie is a dull affair, and no-one important dies this time. Just a weird, pointless installment imo.
In what book did you get that orcs are loyal to Sauron ? He gets booted out after Morgoth's defeat and goes into hiding. Plus it's not the only time he is defeated and loses his physical form, it's not exactly like the books but still fits the story pretty well I reckon
LMAO at saying the first two movies were good. All 3 are awful. Worst movie series ever made. Not a single redeeming quality about them.
Calm down. it's called entertainment .-)
I found it interesting he couldn’t win their loyalty because we know he will in the end. It will be satisfying seeing him grow into the villain we know. It’s a character arc. Also him trying to appeal to them shows the remnants of his good nature as Marion. It will be cool to see him become more villainous and ruthless
It got worse? Its not great, but it improved, stop lying just to farm content
I agree. But Gandalf's body was destroyed fighting the balrog and he came back stronger.
He doesn't come back stronger than ever. His power is heavily diminished. The venom like state was a portrayal of what it wouldve been like for his rebirth into the world. They've taken writings and had to televise them. Remember LOTR are full books. What ROP takes from isn't fully written books but information and notes on the segments of time and characters doings at the time. They've adapted this for TV and not 1900's viewers from when the world was written but a 21st century world in which this show is amazing. And the haters might aswell just hate all Tolkien adaptations because ALL of them deviate from the exact original writing.
