49:30 Too often and so often when dealing with issues of race, we're not objective. When a powerful person tells a series of elected officials who are women of color to 'go back to where they came from', that is racist. When we are using that word we are not making an objective decision"
47:15 "deeply offensive to black people"
46:00 The Tom Cotton op-ed fiasco
49:30 We are not objective
35:20 Set up google alerts for police shootings

can this happen again?
Thank You!
This forum was insightful and hopeful. I enjoyed the generational exchanges. Thank you and I look forward to future forums. Maybe journalism needs an objectivity rating system for media outlets.
So moving. I loved it.
Very nice, Lydia!
I have always held Simon Cole in high regard based on his book, Suspect Identities, which I own and thoroughly enjoyed for the well-researched body of work it is. Listening to this talk, however, does make me think twice. Is there any point he makes here with the random thoughts and semantics he bounces around? Maybe the deeper corners of Academia are simply too far removed from real life.
+1

We have the same name! You are doing it proud.
Way to go kiddo!

So... The Pull and The Beautiful Day Stop Motions were both completed completely by students of Auburn's School of Architecture's Foundation Unit (Spring of 2011), without any external interaction.
