You can try getting the light higher up and angling more down or have two lights at your sides pointed at you but not to the background. If you got more money to spare get a soft box that has the grid on it to make it a very directed light so it doesn’t splash on your back ground. I talk about that more in my other two updated videos about lighting

@@Creator-Source El oh el! The chronic back pain is hilarious. My Husband is doing that, currently. He was a part of the mass tech lay offs in 2022. Let go the Monday after Thanksgiving. So great, I know. It feels like no end to the madness. I will definitely be tying those topics into my channel. My niche is in Insurance, currently. I don't want to bash myself, but I feel like I'm going to end up being too honest 😅 But I'm hoping to drive business through YT and being paid as an independent contractor through the companies I've appointed with. I think it'll be an interesting take. I don't see many/any people in my field touching down on the Internet in this way. So, I hope for success in bridging the gap.

@@hy_9_11 hey! Thanks for letting me know! I’m starting to think TH-cam also pushes out videos made on mobile devices too… I know that has worked for me on vertical streams anyway. Guess TH-cam is competing with tiktok in this way

Oooo good lookin out! They are great versatile lights with plenty of uses. Especially with the remote that adjusts the color and brightness. They have come in handy many times for me. If only the soft box was better but hey for the price they are amazing lights.

Wow your videos are GREAT! Looking at your channel you’ve already found your route to success. I have a channel that blew up on shorts which took me to 100k subs and I regret getting into shorts. My long form content just stopped getting views so I stopped doing shorts and now I’m trying to primarily do long form content. That’s where the money is anyway

Well I work in health care on the insurance side and my new job that I started last week is actually work from home 😁 so now I’m home with the family and making money at the same time. It’s a great thing

The 4K on the canon doesn’t have auto focus with the face tracking and it zooms in WAY too much for me to actually use it so for my it’s 1080 all the way. I forget it even has 4k at times. Maybe for b roll it works good but for the most part it’s like a set it and forget it kinda deal with my m50

Hmmmm I mean if the crop doesn’t affect you or you can make it work then go for it. The autofocus would not work for me when I tried it and so I just stuck with the 1080p. Try it out though and see how it works 👍

Thank you! I just want yall to win. I’m also learning how to build a brand new channel and putting my ideas to work. It’s working pretty good. My 2nd video has almost 40k views so I’m doing something right. I’m by no means a master at TH-cam but I’ve got a pretty good grasp of it. Some of my recent videos aren’t hitting the algorithm at all so I’m reworking things and hitting the drawing board every time something doesn’t work right.

I literally have bought all ur lights and the cameras and all that and ima start from scratch after I have done a lot of content it’s just a lot

Man it took me 4 years to get to 5k subs. Around that time I was ready to give up and I took a month long break. Then when I came back I hit a gold mine in the shorts algorithm and went viral. I basically went from 5k subs to 50k in about a month and it was pretty crazy. Hey if you’re a music director you can try doing what I did. I basically went and found those “guess the drummer” videos and just started making videos of myself saying my guess of who the drummer was. If you look up my other channel “Arturo the drummer” you can see those videos. Plenty of people copied and blew their channels up so I would give it a try. I almost did 100 of those videos 😂 only takes 60 seconds of work

Now is the best time to start. Just get in there and start leveling up your skills as a TH-camr. It’ll take time but the more you do it the better you get

I’m still trying to make good thumbnails. They are a hit and miss and trust me it takes years to master. I haven’t yet and I’ve been on YT for 5 years 😅 thumbnails is its own thing… it takes a lot to know how to make a good one. The one for this video only has a 5.2% click through rate. When you get it to 10% then you’ll see a huge amount of views. On my other channel I had a recent video get 15% click through rate and it hit 100k views within 2 weeks

I was lookin at your channel. You barely got started so don’t expect too much just yet. What I did was look at other people who are making the same kind of videos (lighting/youtube advice) and basically copied some of their ideas. My 2nd video on this channel was a huge success and I basically copied a thumbnail from someone and even copied the whole video idea and structure from it. Now it just so happens my video is being suggested on that SAME video and that’s where most of the views come from.

@NoMasterOfWine yeah I’m not sure why that happens. When I watch the video in my editor and on my media player it’s perfect but once it was uploaded on TH-cam there was a weird lag in it. I have no clue why that happens or how to fix it…

That’s exactly right. Having the consistent income makes things so much easier than hoping 1-3 videos takes off every month. Some channels that have very unique products can do that… those people hit 100k views every day and call 100k views a BAD DAY. Most of us probably will only be on TH-cam as a side hustle. That’s not to say there isn’t hope but I think if you can keep your W2 AND make great content then why not? Never fumble the bag 💰💰💰

@@TrVlogs82 so I watched some of your videos. Now I’m just gonna be brutally honest but that channel will never go anywhere. Vlogs are dead unless you have some sort of social media presence and you have an interesting life that people are dying to see. That being said your attitude comes off as extremely immature and entitled. I see a lot of Karen click bait when really it’s just you being annoying and people responding to it. Most of your videos make it seems like your running to get gold in the victim Olympics and I, as most adults, hate that shit. I’m just being honest man. There may be a tiny tiny small subset of people who might like your videos but without knowing you and caring about who you are I don’t know how anyone could watch more than 5 seconds of your videos.
