Early Ministry live with Stevo on drums and Patty Jourgensen on keyboard. High quality never seen footages.
What a voice this woman has.❤
Adorable ❤
Was this at the Channel!?!?
Al 2024, No longer embarrassment 🥀
That’s right, kids. No such thing as making videos with your phone. No such thing as cell phones. The sound quality of this is pretty freakin’ amazing!
I'm here after seeing Al at Cruel World 2024 Ahead of his time since forever
Real music, not like the garbage we're getting today. The emphasis is on the sound not a cheap stunt or AI/video.
Aah!! Back when Al sounded like Weller channeling Robert Smith.. Before he went all Killing Joke-y!! Still ok though!!
This album is possibly the weirdest most important iconic recording that was ever so monumentally hated by the artist who created it. And fuck they were good live. This could very easily have been a shitshow with the available equipment at the time. Some of the live versions are arguably better than the recordings and that is saying a lot.
I wish Al hadn't been so butthurt about this album. They sounded great live and this material could have easily morphed with them over the years. It's an iconic sound that holds up.
@ the Channel
anyone else notice the front 242 sticker on al's guitar?
Back when Al still used to take it in the but
🍻
I was there!
Gawd this is fantastic!!
Who goes from disco to death metal?
My first concert was Ministry and Culture in SF 1984 and this is what I remember them sounding like. I got to see Ministry again at Cruel World 2024 in May, fantastic show.
Hard to believe he plays this live again now!
it's so sad he went on the be a junkie after this, look how happy he is, AL, you know you loved with sympathy it just did not meet your junkies friends standards, granted I do really dig all Ministry stuff up until dark side.
So THIS is how one become a hardcore junkie.
I think ministry is at its best stuff when frankensteining hybrid between nu wave, metal , electro, its just interesting. High hopes for the last album with barker back on board as his recent lead into gold was more interesting to me than the thrash of recent years
This is damn funky.
Work for love and Just one fix my favourite ministry dance songs
Early Ministry was great! I'm 60 now and still enjoying the sounds from my generation.
Still sounds awesome 40 years later!
I was in the audience,dancing
The first two albums, With Sympathy and Twitch, and the surrounding singles and 12' were my favorite period. Saw Ministry on the Twitch tour; great wild show.
This song has always been a banger. The 12" version especially. The base and rhythm guitar are funky as hell.
Amazing
It's funny how Al used to shit talk this era so much because the progression from With Sympathy to Twitch and then Land of Rape and Honey seems so incredibly natural.
Does he have his stogie on the neck of his guitar? 😂 sick
Was at this show and will never forget it. Brilliant album and era for Ministry, although some would disagree. Glad Al has finally come around to appreciating this masterpiece.
Me too!!! I looked like Siouxsie Sioux kind of but dare I say, prettier
Me recuerda la majestuosa actuación de Lisa Fischer en gimme shelter en el concierto en vivo en Amsterdam en el 95 Dos pedazos de cantantes y esta canción es una joya de joyas Viva Palestina
Excited to see Al will be performing this in 3 months at a show in Pasadena, I cannot fecking wait !
I wish someone had Ministry’s LORAH show from Bostons Channel 1988-9
My favorite. He needs to do a follow up album called "Without Sympathy"
Hahaha!
Loving the FRONT 242 Sticker on his guitar. Pure awesomeness. So glad he's come around and started doing these songs live (a heavier version of course) but I'll take it!
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I watched a Ministry concert from like 98 or something and it was all guys in the audience, and here whenever you hear them say “For Love” you can tell it’s all chicks. It’s interesting how an audience can switch, it’s probably because their music got more aggressive haha. I’m not saying they don’t have girl fans now but like in ‘83 it seems like it was like a toooon of girls.
This is literally divine. Ministry are gods.
This is unbelievably good. WOW. 😍😍😍
damn how lucky that crowd was
Was here,it was an awesome show!!!# No one stopped partying afterwards,I went backstage with the band🎉
You said you needed full time help 'cause you're all alone I said I'd work for nothing at all If I just could take you home And now you're taking applications For your love You wanted certain specifications I circled the one that said all the above Work... for love Finally got my resume And you said you'd reviewed it some other day I said, 'girl, hey, do it if you dare Where I'd like to go our love will flare' Finally my letter arrived And I knew you would be mine Instead I had to prove my turf For the first two weeks work overtime Work... for love You've got to work You've got to work for love
Dude - you could have been the post - disco/funkoid/buttplug vendor GOD ! WHAT is your damage, mate?
Great show, 1984 oh boy,, ..
Rihanna taking notes on lyrics.
Majestic to see the origin of impressive ministry 😎🔥 that recording is a gem! see how the concerts were really enjoyed. Since nowadays all types of concerts of any musical genre are held, the majority of the public spends their time recording or using their cell phones.
Yvonne Gage is incredible on this song, it's better than the album version.
