Skelwith Fold Caravan Park - Baker Days review
A site tour and review of our 10 days staying at Skelwith Fold Caravan Park near Ambleside in the Lake District.
It really is a fantastic site. Our video doesn't show the reception area and shop but they were brilliant. Everything you could need and some speciality items too. The staff were so helpful and friendly and we loved how well cared for the site was.
It is huge! You are deep into the forest and surrounded by wildlife.
Hope this vlog gives you a taster of how good it is.

How to set up Wifi internet access in your Caravan or Motorhome
มุมมอง 12K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Reliable internet access when away in the caravan or motorhome is almost essential. Whether it's for rainy days when the kids are complaining about being bored, or when you need to login to work for something that cannot wait. This video shows how we stay connected, without costing a fortune. We hope you find it useful. We are in no way affiliated with TP-link or any of the other brands mention...
Castlerock Holiday Park Touring Site July 2024

We spent 5 nights at the touring section in Castlerock Holiday Park, and wished we'd booked for longer! For once the sun showed up (rain seems to follow our caravan). We had so much fun on the beach and trying out the local cuisine. The site is right in the centre of the village and so literally no more than a 5 minute walk to anything! The staff are so friendly and welcoming. We loved it, and ...
Baker Days in the Lake District - July 24

We spent 10 days exploring the lake District, and as always the rain followed us. But we did get to see lots of beautiful mountains and lakes, quaint towns and great fun family activities. Our site was near Ambleside so a great base for adventures around Lake Windermere. We spent 4 nights at Windsor Holiday Park in Newcastle on a beautifully sunny (which is very rare for us!) weekend at the end of May 2024. Our first 2 days were spent at Castlewellan Castle with friends from Church and the rest spent relaxing in Newcastle and onsite. The Stunning Mourne Mountains could be seen from our caravan with Slieve Donard watching over us. We would highly recommend this ...

Lana and Isla at Dundonald Caravan Park & the Comber Greenway
มุมมอง 1117 หลายเดือนก่อน
On yet another rainy bank holiday weekend, the Bakers were joined by BFF Isla for 2 nights at Dundonald Caravan Park. We hit Indianaland twice and refused to let the rain stop us from discovering the Comber Greenway both on foot and by bike. We cycled to CSLewis square in Belfast for a lovely lunch and then back again catching a fab view of Stormont and the H&W Cranes on route.

As mentioned before, we have bought the same set up as your. We are currently trying it out at home, and so far it is brilliant. Can’t wait to try it out when Caravanning next year. It’s so very straight forward. Thank you so much for making it easy and affordable.

I have purchased the list you gave us, just waiting the arrival. In the video you said the bunny ears were not the antennas the antennas was in the box, if so is it not possible to do away with the part afixed up high on the caravan - i'm a little confused

    • @PaulBaker_BakerDays
      @PaulBaker_BakerDays หลายเดือนก่อน

Hi there, The bunny ears are for picking up the 4G mobile signal. The WiFi antenna (that your devices connect to for internet) are built-in to the main tplink unit. If you are using an external antenna, remove the bunny ears and connect to those ports. If you don’t need the external antenna, just leave the bunny ears on and you’re good to go 👍🏻

You way of positioning the aerial is genius! Mine bolts to a bracket I made and mounted on my solar panel. This requires a balancing act and a bit of dexterity winding the wing nuts on. I've now ordered the piping you've shown and look forward to enjoying my post setup beer in a much quicker time! I've been using the same router and it's marvelous! I setup a different APN profile for the 4G providers (I've 3 PAYG SIMs 3, EE & Vodafone), then I switch SIMs to the one which provides the best signal.

The biggest issue most people will encounter with mobile connectivity in the UK is not so much the equipment they choose, but the shockingly appalling network coverage and stability offered by the main four carries and all the piggyback providers who use those providers. Aside from starlink or one of the other satellite service providers, no matter how high end your external antenna and mobile router, if there is no network, then you won't make a connection, dito if the network is very weak and inconsistent, your equipment won't amplify that signal. 5G is very urban centric and the 5G masts don't transmit the 5G signal very far. Most caravaners and motorhome users will probably be sited away from main cities and large towns so 5G isn't going to be a thing for them. If using none satellite systems then having a router with duel sim capacity would significantly increase the chance of getting a signal. Vodafone's broadcast frequency is more suited to rural conectivity whereas the other three are stronger in more populas locations. You can pretty much ignore the networks own coverage maps, and that of OFCOM is not of much use either. All boast impressive coverage but the reality does not bear those claims out. Oddly but not unsurprisingly, if travelling in much of the EU, mobile networks are measurably better than those in the UK ,so even the most basic equipment should get most folk a more than acceptable mobile connection with good speeds.

But I noticed one thing You have enough of the videos but your video does not increase views or subscribers because of some problem with your Channel. Your videos are not SEO'd which is why they are not ranking VIDEO SEO score is very poor (14% out of 100). Which has to be at least 90+ You need to optimize your channel for better results. Far too many wires trailing around. It needs its own power supply as well. Better with a hotspot device. £90 for router + £20 for booster antenna+ other accessories to make it fit. My hotspot (Netgear) which cost £75 runs at up to 600mbps d/load. This router is 300. And in my eyes not as flexible. I would also like to add that your signal is only as good as connectivity to mast. In my experience EE has the best coverage in the UK and sell data Sims which last 12 months. The 30 odd connections isn't ever going to get used on a 10gb SIM it would only last a very short time.

Love the dresses, they’re very beautiful and feminine. As always, Lana looks happy and content. I’m an African American woman and hope you know that our hair needs are different and that tender loving care is needed to maintain its health, prevent breakage and dry scalp. There are products, moisturizes, pomades, co-washes and techniques that are used to maintain growth and health. It is detrimental for our hair to become dry. Using the wrong combs, tools on the hair can cause pain. I ask that you learn these skills and find the proper products for her. They are easily available here in the U.S., Amazon, and to some extent in UK. I encourage you to look at other videos on Afro children hair care or find someone in the African, Caribbean community able to assist you in this journey. Please don’t take my comment as criticism, but when Lana becomes a teen and young woman she is going to want to know more about herself/culture and needs that exposure.Wishing you all the best.

As an African American I was intrigued by your channel. Lana is a beautiful young lady and seems to be happy and loved. What matters is that she feels safe and has a family that supports and love her. However please endeavor to socialize her with other people of color. The world is tough, and maybe as she gets older, she may feel that she has missed out on some things to weather the storms of life. Please don’t take my comment as criticism. Peace and blessings to you all.

Thanks for your comment. Please be assured we do socialise lana with other people of colour. Unfortunately in Northern Ireland that's not as easy as in America. We have a very small population of people of colour in this country. For example in Lana's school there are no other people of colour in her year group. That's why the best friends she has made are all white. This is not our choice it is simply geography. However she does have friends of colour from church and people we met in Uganda. And we work hard to remind her of her culture in Uganda as it was a big part of our lives too. Thanks for watching our channel.
