When off throttle you get no fuel, on a 2 stroke that’s no oil too. Coasting with revs and no oil is a recipe to wreck the engine. Always clutch in when coasting on a 2 stroke.

Hey! I'm working on a kx250f 2008. Cannot get it to start. Changed all valves and they seem to be seating, did shim clearance, checked piston and piston rings, cleaned out the carb, checked spark... The hunt continues...

I have a crf150r I picked up and I’m having the same issues. It runs lean and I have a 48 pilot in it. Stock is a 40 so I’m lost as to what to do.

Man I feel your struggle. Fought with my kx250f carb. Previous guy spent a fortune rip to bottom rebuild, fmf titanium fatty, and stage 2 hot cams. Wouldnt run right so he gave up and I bought it. Turns out it had a 290cc big bore and was never rejetted for the pipe,big bore and cams. Just got it mostly right. Still need the pilot to go up one more size. But perfect on load and throttle. Just hard to start and has a slight idle bog. But so damn cold out in my shed I’m not motivated enough to rip it apart again. So I just rip it up the street once a week to keep it fresh. First warm day I’ll dig into it again. Never ending battle. Lol.

That is not possible u got a crank seal issue or something dude lol that’s not normal for running a bit of extra oil

I would keep trying to run 40:1 or even 32:1 but re-jet the bike so it runs good on it. 50:1 isn’t the worst but imo you need more oil

Hell yeah! Just bought the same bike 2 days ago. She’s all rebuilt top to bottom, stage 2 hot cams,fmf 4.1, and an 82.7mm bore. Thing rips. Just having a little carb issues. She’s got a slight big on first twist of throttle. And starts 4-6 kicks. So gotta dual her in. But love the bike. Toms of power.
