Rockaway Beach Branch is publicly accessible, theres a post u can climb-up south of Atlantic avae, to Rockaway blvd (if you're more daring). and the side north of Atlantic ave is easily accessible from Forest Park, right off one of the trails by the track Vegetation is overgrown on Rockaway Beach Branch, so I'm waiting for the plants to die out for the winter. I went to the Lower Montauk Branch Richmond Hill station instead, also from Forest Park, but doable in the summer. I gotta come out to the Montauk Cutoff, but last time I tried (at night) I saw hella migrants there, kinda scary especially alone

I wish the Metro-North Railroad was brought back to the name New York Central System. I also want them to reactivate the Putnam Line.

Consider maybe replacing the diesel prime mover with a battery pack - look at the current rollout of BEMU in Austria - the range would be right for recharging on the third rail and the electronics would be relatively simple on a DC route \m/

I propose bringing back the name “New York Central System”. The New York Central System needs more Lines crossing east/west such as a Cross-Westchester Line & reactivated Beacon Line. They also need to reactivate the Putnam Line & extend it to Albany Union Station alongside the Hudson Line. The New York Central System should also run to Staten Island via a new 5th Avenue Line in Manhattan. From what I have heard, the current plan is to unfortunately tear down the Belmont park station and build a Hotel there due to the Outlets, UBS arena, and Belmont stakes. Very sad to me as I have spent many days and nights at the Belmont Park station.

If you think the service pattern on the New Haven Line to and from Grand Central is chaotic, wait until Metro-North starts sending New Haven Line trains to and from Penn Station via the Hell Gate, let's see if the service pattern from these terminals is really going to be less chaotic then, HAH, LOL!!!
