Thank you, Iain! Great reviews of a great group! I was fortunate enough to see them live twice: first time in NYC on their 1977 debut US tour and then again, as you mentioned, in Scottsdale, AZ in 1992. My favorites would be Quichotte, Logos, Ricochet, Encore and Soundmill Navigator.

Kansas had a great run from 1974 to 1980 (The Classic Line-Up) After that im not that intrested, but there are some good stuff on "Freaks of Nature" And "Somewhere to Elsewhere" - I really should check out the 2 latest ones one day. Cheers Iain !

Quality LP

Always had a soft spot for this band. I did rebuy their stuff on CD and still like to hear their songs. I do enjoy all of their albums. My favorites are all over the place and my top 5 include "Eagles fly", "No doubt about it", "You made me believe in magic", "Strangers in the wind" and their version of "I only wanna be with you". *Rest in Peace, Les McKeown, Alan Longmuir and Ian Mitchell!*

Hi Iain, i have the album on both cd and vinyl. its a classic album IMO and one of two that reignited my interest in music at that time. i had gone off music around 1987-ish when it felt like everything in the charts was a Stock,Aitken,Waterman piece of crap. it ended up being "jagged little pill" and Osais' "morning glory" albums that got me back. i havent heard or owned an Alanis Morissette album i did not like, her album from three or four years ago called "little forks in the road" which was really good too. i would agree with you that side 1 is probably slightly stronger than side 2 but it is almost the prefect album IMO hope it warms up for you - Lloyd

Appreciative of you doing such a niche topic! I would be very interested in seeing a ranking of their more newer stuff (e.g Recurring Dreams, The Booster Series of albums, Quantum Gate, and maybe some of their older soundtracks from the 80's!). My favourite live track has to be from 'The Sessions III', specifically track 9 (9:10PM Session, Pt 2 - Live at Volksbühne, Berlin). Cheers for a quality video!

I remember this album played on college radio back in the day. I was never a huge fan and thought all these female she nget/songwriters tended to sound alike. They were good, nonetheless.

I don't understand why you put the brilliant debut album only at no. 7. It should be among the top 3 in every Procol Harum album ranking. In my opinion the debut album version with 'A Whiter Shade of Pale' as the first song (I think it's the US version) is better then the UK Version without that song.

I own six Tangerine Dream albums and none so far have been in the list so I am looking forward to the next video.
