I remember going through this years ago when I was in high school. This bay used to have another 4000 just like the right one, and it was my first time seeing a Laserwash 360 paired up with LaserDri dryers. Sadly now the place has been shut down since last year, and I'm not sure whether or not someone else is going to buy the site and overhaul the washes (or replace them), or if Take 5 is going to decommission the wash systems and repurpose the site as a state inspection bay.

I'm sure that whole new crowd that's living in El Paso are from California .

This elevator is replaced with an Otis.

You were the last one to film this one before it started getting modded. As of June 18th 2024, the right elevator is in service and the left one I believe is awaiting inspection. The actual name of the garage is the Broadway-Kerr Garage. Once the left one goes into service I’m going to film both of them and do a before and after video with my video of them from 2021

Just found your channel thanks to the algorithm and I really enjoy seeing your enthusiasm for some things (old freight elevators for instance) that most folks would shrug at. I've spent nearly the last 30 years working maintenance or security in a variety of commercial properties, many dating back 80-100 years. During that time I've grown to admire the design and craftsmanship of that era, as well as an admiration for the people who built that world. Keep exploring guys and keep having fun with it, and be safe!
