I was in the late 70s/beginnig 80s offen in London for skate at competions (only slalom). So I miss in the videos 2 important slalomer.....Martin Sweeny & Chris Linford....

Was chatting to a mate last night about this comp and I described it as the day Thrasher magazine came to life. Turns out whilst I was spectating, my mate was actually competing. There was also a comp in Langland car park that got shut down by the cops. Great memories. Thanks for posting this.

Great memories of Morfa. Used to travel down from Monmouth as often as we could, only learnt to drop in and axle stall on the vert ramp but what a blast it was.

Never forget the first time I saw Tragedy. My boss is friends with them and they did a benefit gig for one of the programs we run. I had no idea what to expect. Face melted.

I loved riding there back in the day. Some brilliant trails.

Fair play to ya mate that must of been some serious pain. I'm getting back into skating ,grew up on a skateboard in Aus in the seventies now 63. I came of without pads on never again😂 I got double layer of hip pads and all the rest of the pads. Didn't know Porthcawl had a skate park, Swansea has a new one to I'm Pembrokeshire so we got Haverwest which is great to have on my doorstep. Keep enjoying man !
