He didnt include the sound of the kalimba in the video, he knew he failed. That kalimba had some ringing and dead tines. The grounding bar is not tight enough for it to sound right.

I would have liked to hear it actually play!! I just made one with very similar kit.... I have a sort of cigar box, it looks great but my tines move around sideways, tuning is not straightforward, and sound is dissappointing on the longer tines, mid ones arnt too bad. Also cant see how to increase pressure. I also had to bolt center bridge to wood as wood is so thin, screws rip out with the pressure..... I think I,ll stick with guitar.
I made thickness wood around 4min.
Is there an exclusive club I need to buy into to source the tines?

Thank you for your interest this vido. And sorry i response your answer too late, because i very busy. He put Kalimba key start from center and to screw in. If we have more time we will take video how to install kalimba key.
