Using the BCS Power Harrow
มุมมอง 22Kปีที่แล้ว
We use the BCS and its Power Harrow attachment a lot. We like it because it breaks up the surface of the soil without the damaging effects of a tiller. In this video we show you how it works and how we use it to turn a field of cover crop into a ground ready for garden beds.

    Hello, is there a sequel? How did the worms fill in and how do they behave?

    Can you do this with clear tarp also or does it need to be black tarp?

    hey OK Farms, why not tack weld pipes in place after drilling holes? Insulation board was brilliant, have you thought of filling the tubing around the farm with spray foam, to keep out the outside temperature? i'm split from using tubing or wood in my worm bin material, since moisture plays a part in worm farms.

    That was a hell of a lot of work 😊👍🏽🪱

    And you did this for what reason? To level the ground?

    • @anokfarm
      @anokfarm ปีที่แล้ว

      It does some leveling, but we did this mainly to work our short cover crop into the soil and to create a better layer of shallow bedding that is easier for direct seeding and for transplanting. This area will be for garden beds shortly.

    Looks like you need a deflector an upside down V to deflect the food to the sides

    You can use it with an agitator. There are a couple videos explaining how to do it. Both of mine have an agitator.

      @anokfarm ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you can. We wanted to use a bigger basket though which was not usable on the the machines that we had found with an agitator.

    Looks like the feed would get wet if it rained. The rain water would land on the bus bin “roof” and leak down next to the hopper.

      Yes that's right. This is definitely a design you want in a covered area.
