You have an awful time with the cable cuz you don’t use the strands that come inside the paracord to help you feed the wire into the paracord as you’re pulling the strands out (tape the cable to the strands and pull the strands out while feeding the cable in simultaneously)

I would choose butyl or sorbithane as they have the highest density. You want the material to full adhere to the surface or else it won't dampen very well. So you want the material to have a stickiness to it. But if it's too sticky, then it can be hard to take off. if so, then mass loaded vinyl w/ adhesive is a good alternative.

How do the PCBs actually attach to the plates? Is it just the pressure of the hotswap sockets on the switches that holds them together? I've seen many gasket-mounted keyboards that use machine screws to connect the two, but there doesn't appear to be any such screws here.

I’d be interested in hearing more of your post experiment findings. It seems like none of them transform the sound in the same way PE foam does. Im trying to decide if it’s better to use a kill mat or Polly fill in the bottom of the board. Any thoughts on that?

I have no experience with modding GC Controllers, but I saw some form posts about lubing the N64 stick with white lithium grease. Perhaps there's a small chance that they use the same thing for GameCube sticks, I don't know. I also don't know if it's even a good thing to do.

To anyone looking to truly solve most of the Tofu 60 case ping, try adding wheel balancing weights to the battery area on the bottom. That's it. Superior to the silicon pour, foams, etc. Those aren't bad options, but what the case needs is to be heavier. I use a PC plate, switch pads, long pole nylon switches (currently Gateron Quinn) and NO pcb or case foam. It sounds amazing and if you want to make it sound deeper there are the known mods like tape mod, case and plate foam, etc. plus switch choice. Oh, and remove the center stand offs. Just use the 2 on left and 2 on the right.. Your space bar will be happy.
