I graduated from there in 1973. Much more hands on work with the M16 now. When I was on the firing line we had guys behind us with weapons and we were told if we stood up we risked a chance of bing shot as someone had before us and discharged their weapon killing an instructor and someone else.

Since when can trainees sit in the chairs next to their wall lockers? Back in 1989, we could only sit on the floor. We were never allowed to sit in the chairs by our wall lockers or on any furniture in the day room. Furniture was simply used for dusting on a daily basis.

Anyone remembers the Green Monster ( clothing issue ) during USAF Basic in the early 70'. A young airman with gold teeth...throwing uniforms at you...literally. I think it was part of the pressure during basic.
