Exploring the margins of the Greenland Ice Sheet - The far northern settlement of Quaanaq
Qaanaaq is the second most northernly permanent human settlement on planet earth. Half of the year the town is locked in ice and complete darkness. So far removed from the rest of society, this community is highly dependent upon and in touch with the ice, land and wildlife. They are deeply entrenched in the Arctic ecosystems.

    0:39: Qaanaaq WASN'T settled 4000 yrs ago! The people lived further up North, but were FORCED to move within 48 hours to the area, that is today's Qaanaaq! In 1953! Get it right!!😡

      USA sold the Kangerlussuaq airport for 1$ so that they can always use their former airforce base. I was there last year. But Greenland is part of kingdom of Denmark and they won the case in international court over Norway for the northeast part

      What do they care about the EU? It's not like they have an immigration problem in northernmost greenland. They care only about hunting and their own community. In fact the EU is the global leader for reducing carbon emissions so considering that their sea ice is melting, which impacts their hunt, they are probably pro-EU.
