בנערותה, לבכל סרלואי היו שתי בעיות: היא היתה חכמה, והיא היתה שמנה. ועוד יותר גרוע: דעתנית. במגזר אליו היא משתייכת, כל זה היה אמור לגזור את דינה מבחינת סיכויה להתחתן. כלומר, עד שהיא לקחה את המושכות לידיה.
בכל מלמדת תורה, ספרות, כתיבה ושירה. היא משוררת וסופרת עטורת פרסים ופרסמה שלושה ספרי שירה. לאחרונה פרסמה שיצא לחנויות ימים ספורים לפני ערב הסיפורים בו השתתפה, שנקרא אף הוא (באופן מקרי בהחלט) ״משקל עודף״. הערב התקיים, בשותפות עם יוזמת סמדר בקולנוע לב סמדר במושבה הגרמנית בירושלים.
שיר הסיום הוא ״יש מסיבה״ של שרית חדד.
