this is amazing!!!
i like it
Praise Bob!
I've just been reminded of these wizards. Hard to remember, and even to imagine, how unusual and daring this was for the time - before "instrumental post-rock" was really even a thing. Huge influence on me, and on many other bands...
Finsbury Park 01/06/91 Anyone?
An extremely important album that perfectly reflects contemporary history in form and ambivalence. Family Snapshot - but who else is touched by it?
Loved the EP's. Reminded me of the best parts of The Chameleons.
Perfect blend of post punk and shoegaze
Couldn't of put it better myself!
Headless is one of the most underrated shoe gazing-grunge-pist pop songs
❤❤❤
We found bentleys....
I LOVE THIS PROJECT!
Is this the same band that did the album Been Brained?
rev spongebob and the squidbillies all welcome
Classic ripper right here!
medium key
Praise be to Bob!
Medieval darkness!
Funnthastisch
Masterpiece.
I showed this album to a fellow music cognoscenti when I got the CD. It's really amazing. I saw them once at Numbers.
Pwei without the vocs. Notice any samples,
What a record !❤
Long live the 90's
Its like I'm being dragged from one shore to the other, and witnessing every empty void, beautiful reef, dark trench, and eldritch leviathan that exist within the vast blue, from the gentle roll of a warm tide, to the enduring of unimaginable levels of pressure at the oceans deepest trenches, suffering through it, but never finally imploding, never finally drowning. I have a recurring nightmare of being at the bottom of a pool looking up, feeling what its like to drown, but being too drunk to save myself, this is like that but 1000× worse. This is Davy Jones Locker.

God save Souled American and all who sail with her.
Wow this held up a lot better than I was expecting. I haven't listened to this in about 20 years
”Cast a Spell on Her” is my favorite
Sounds like the soundtrack for SimCity 4. Not complaining!
I feel the depths inside my veins
The more I listen to this, I think this version of Feed Forward (the vinyl) is the best electronic music album ever. I love the warmth the vinyl recoding gives the music ❤️
this is pure masterpiece
This is Spangle call Lilli line's first studio album in 2001, and it was named after the band itself.
This takes me back to my early 20s. Love this album and thanks for uploading
this is how every song feels like to me 00:00 out of the womb, blinded by the operating room halogen lights 05:29 being trapped in an infinite realm of luxurious, dim lighted corridors 07:27 someone who is grieving about the recent death of his/her significant other has a lucid dream about him/her, as he/she enters the dream the whole atmosphere feels eerie but also warm, he/she enjoys the moment knowing it will not last 11:25 if the creation and meaning and fabric of the universe and time could be shown into something comprehensible to humans, but still then, it is too much, we are not ready for this yet 16:34 you've been driving all night, tired as fuck, no other cars on sight, black beyond darkness in the apparently endless highway, no lights apart from the headlights and the dash lights, you feel hopeless, and about to pass out, but then, you watch the city skyline from afar, you get struck with hope, you are near, you keep driving 17:53 the first beams of the morning struck your face 20:51 that overwhelming joy when you feel something you never feel before, or you haven't feel for a long time, you are squeezing every second of it 28:03 the aftermath of some excruciating horror 29:46 you have died, but you lived a fulfilled and happy life, this is you in the afterlife movie theater watching your fondest memories, but also your deepest regrets and embarrasments 31:16 a distant memory calling you, that memory is somehow sentient and is trying to call you to not disintegrate, because it can only exist if you can remember it, but as soon as it realizes that it is in vain, it screams in pure horror as it slowly fades away (more exactly at 35:24 is where it feels like screams) 38:14 you have achieved something big, something beautiful, but suddenly you are overwhelmed with a feeling of emptiness
WHOOSH is basically a template for the Chemical Brothers to copy 2 years later with "Hey Boy Hey Girl" 🤣 B.R.A. forever!!!!
Damn this is some great sleepy music, its so pretty and relaxing After getting to 25:20 .... well not all the time
whole record has an otherwordly/mysthic atmosphere frrr

Exact same words from me ;-)
Wanna be surprised big time? "Bentley's Gonna sort you Out!" is 1972.
@@goprodog4304 1997 bro
@@lawrencelimburger9160 Will you be really surprised if it's 1972 bro?
@@goprodog4304 Its not tho?
Thank you for posting the vinyl version . Different sequencing and more tracks than are on the digital version of the album on Apple Music. Wonder why that is. Isn’t the vinyl version incredibly expensive?
my first assumption given their background in the club scene is that they wanted the vinyl to feel more exclusive or like the definitive release, but sandwell district (both the label and the group) was infamously disorganized and caustic so they might actually have done this on accident lol At least we have the vinyl rips!
@@brobzoid It makes sense. The Apple Music version definitely seems more suited for a less "balls deep" techno listener. The sequencing starts the album off with the most accessible track and subsequent tracks maintain a more upbeat momentum. Plus, the Apple Music version lacks the tracks that would have less appeal to casual fans because they're more arty (the ambient closing tracks) or less dramatic (like the moderately paced, mid-set feeling "Hunting Lodge"). TH-cam really is a God send for those of us who long for those kind of tracks. The album just feels totally different here
This album came out the same day as I was born, so we’re like twins
Souled American

Genius
Agreed
Saw them support Ride at The Lemon Grove Exeter in 1990. Superb, ears still ringing 👌
