Night time/ daytime trip Sword fishing

We went 0/1 the other day, always a fun time with this crew.

Took a group of guys that does underground work, they caught mutton snapper, mangrove snapper, strawberry grouper, triggerfish, vermillions and Golden Grouper. Beautiful weather here in St.Augustine this week.

Took out my buddy and his family to go get there first swordfish, first drift we pulled one off deep, second drift we caught a fish on the hand-crank and everyone got to take a turn reeling on him! Then the 3rd drift we hooked a nice fish on the buoy and he ended up jumping off at the surface. One of my clients has been telling me about this Gigging/bow fishing charter he goes on, so after a few weeks of trying to get a night I didn’t have a trip the following morning and weather cooperated finally got to hop on with captain Russell Fauth out of St.Augustine and film.

We took 1st place 2 fish aggregate and 2nd place big fish in the annual kingbuster400. We also caught a nice wahoo for sushi night.

This is footage I found from a few years ago we fished greater jax on the new vahalla and motor’s went into limp mode on our way to the scales and ended up just idling home.
