Reaction to ATEEZ - Pirate King and Treasure MVs, Live Performances, and More!!!
As mentioned in both my previous video and my community post, there were some audio issues with this video that I couldn't fix. I've worked all that out now, and future videos should be just fine! I did have to edit My Way out of this video for copyright, but you can find the full, unedited video for free on my Patreon! The timestamp for the cut My Way reaction is 57:14. www.patreon.com/c/corvusinvenit
I've had so much fun recording these last few videos, and I can't wait to dive into the next album!! This is the last video for Treasure Ep. 1, so next up we'll be listening to Treasure Ep. 2! I have been informed that there's a better live performance of Treasure I should watch, so I will be starting my next video with that.
Hope y'all enjoy!

      I get it, I've been in that position in the not-too-distant past. I actually watch BTS reactors myself, so I'm very familiar with the way the reaction sphere operates. I understand that there's a temptation for reactors to put up a paywall and have that be the way they make their money, but I also don't feel that it's fair or appropriate to ask people to pay for my opinion on content that they could easily watch or listen to for free. It feels like I would be taking advantage of whatever group or artist I'm reacting to by doing that, so none of my reactions will ever be paid content.

      @@CorvusInvenit I agree, I know in the current environment having that income is useful and I definitely wouldn't judge anyone that does it, but I do think having free access to reactions is better for both the content creator and the audience, like you can be completely honest in your reactions and pople can watch just what they want and no party is forced to either fake opinions or continue watching just because there's money involved. Plus, I actually feel much more motivated to support the creators when they don't obligue you to pay.

    Another great reaction! ❤️ "SHIT I LOVE THEM!" will be my favourite moment from this one, and a very relatable one. We've all been there, they are just too easy to love. 🥲 It isn't part of your plan, but I highly recommend checking out some interviews/reality content as well. They are HILARIOUS and chaotic and so affectionate and cute with each other, it'll just make you appreciate them even more. (I've seen other reactors who do full discography reactions making a separate video with non-music bonus content for the era they are reacting to).

      Oh, and I have some more notes as well 😄 - At this point I feel like we need two counters - one Beautiful Man counter and one Jongho, chill! counter - They were still so baby 😭 The Treasure MV always makes me teary, seeing how far they've come. - Treasure will actually remain relevant and make a reappearance years later in their discography! Will we spoil it, or see if you'll pick up on it when we get there? 🤔 - I just love the Treasure performance so much, the beginning always gives me goosebumps. Did you notice that Hongjoong is writing Ateez in the air with his hand? - I also don't know anything about dancing, but I also really enjoy the shapes and formations they create. The chores are great at highlighting certain members at different moments and leading your focus. - you're into musical theater? You'll love Ateez! They're stages are so theatrical, it's unreal. Wait till you see Arriba XD - "How are they hot as zombies?" 😂 With Zombie-Hwa you caught just the tiniest of glances of what's still to come. The way this man changes on stage is something else (hello demon line!) - Not being able to hear their beautiful live voices over the backing track on music shows is often an issue 😭 you usually get the best audio from their own concert videos, they also don't normally get blocked. - That light pink cropped hair Mingi is soooo good! - "They are so precious!" Yes. Just, yes. Oh, and as a Matz bias (Hongjoong & Seonghwa), I felt greatly represented in your reaction 😌

      I'm still debating on the topic of non-music content as far as reactions go! I do absolutely want to check some of that out, but I'm undecided on whether it will be filmed. I do plan to check out the 2024 guide that several people have recommended as a reaction though!

    • @CorvusInvenit
      @CorvusInvenit 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      - OMG I didnt realize he was writing Ateez, but that's so cool!! - I loooove musical theater, I did community theater when I was young and some of my vocal lessons when I was in school were through a theater academy near me. - I have heard tales of the demon line and I am afraid sdfghkfd - That's common with music shows in general from what I've seen, not sure what's up with their sound engineering but the backing tracks are often too loud, and I've also seen it where different members' vocals in the same group aren't properly balanced so one sounds wayyyy louder than the others. I'm guessing it has to do with the fact that they're generally filming for multiple artists on the same day and aren't taking as much time to fine-tune the mix for each one, but it's still a little disappointing sometimes.

    28:40 "Why am I so endeared?" You are me on this exact journey a few years ago with them. I'm STILL trying to figure it out, but there is a certain self awareness to this group that a lot of other groups lack, especially this early on. They take everything about their work very seriously, but they never seem to take themselves too seriously. Onstage there feels like a million moving parts that never seem to break, but offstage, the swag and the effortless talent sort of falls apart and they're just goofy dudes doing trying their best.

    My oh my, I could rant about the beauty that is Halazia for hours. I'll do a slightly brief comment for now and I'll add more details if you want! So this song is very lore heavy. Despite that, it's actually a spin-off to their main storyline. You've got lots of it right thanks to the lyrics. It's mainly about being numb and restrained from expressing yourself and your emotions and being fed up with it. Feeling anger and despair towards not being able to do enough to help yourself and so you call to someone for help, in this case 'Halazia', to come save you. The lyrics kinda go from helpless and sad, to angry and frustrated, and finally there's a bit of resolution with some determination and the want to take matters into your own hands. (Again this all does tie into lore but I've given a brief explanation in case you didn't want to get spoiled or too overwhelmed at once) Ateez does have some other songs with some pretty deep lyrics (Fever, Turbulence, Not Too Late, Be with you, Empty Box, Mist, Cyberpunk, Take Me Home, are some that I can name off the top of my head)

      - Pirate King is a grower, yeah. Quite bold to have it as a debut song. Made sense to pair it with Treasure for a double debut! - Treasure is one of those songs that has never grown old throughout the years. Their whole early discography has aged so well! - Yes, the play between Hongjoong's and Mingi's raps is very tasty and part of many of their songs! - Harmonies - ooooh yeah, Ateez does harmonies so well! Their vocal range across the group is so good, and their songs often use their voices like instruments (If that makes sense? I don't know anything about singing.) - Bridges!!! ❤ Underappreciated! Ateez are very well known for their strong pre-chorus and last 30 seconds, but their bridges slap, too - Fellow b-side enjoyer! Ateez has a no skip discography and many of their b-sides could easily be title tracks.

    • @lumau4772
      @lumau4772 วันที่ผ่านมา

      - The flute made a return in 2024 in Birthday (very different song, a personal favourite! I highly, highly recommend you include their japanese releases in your deep dive!! They are so good!) - The themes you mentioned are reoccurring in their songs, they have many lyrics that are motivational and uplifting, follow your dream kinda messages. Many of their songs could simply be read as love songs, but especially in regards to their lore they can refer to many different kinds of love - comradery, friendship, passion for what is important to you... And the "We can make it!" vibe is extra relevant looking at how hard Ateez had to work to gain recognition.

A grower for sure cuz of the chorus😛 was that an Hola? Huh? Have they always been latino kings? 9:20 just envision them bodyrolling to the chorus 10:25 omgggggggggggg what is thisssss how many different vibes have i gotten from them already? Gettt it vocalss the production sounds so expensive ✨ it feels beachy and very freeing! 15:28 and they did! Omg im crying when this happens my heart gets happy! They made it! Perioddd🥳 Are we in disco 🪩 now? 17:40 righttt? Flute out of nowhereee? Crying for you my country is summer always so i can vibe with the tropical vibes like get some hula hulas and piña coladas and lets dance.. 22:47 real reaction to hearing this not silly at all. Such a feel good soong def Again latin vibes? They’re after my heart 🫠 giving very much 2017 remixes weirdly vibey. Is it a common theme for their music to feel dancey? 25:57 they doo!! The harmonies are insanee and much needed nowadays we don’t get that from newer groups or songss! Mingi with the tropical synth was great thank u producers🛐 their bridges tho are like sooo unique.. the flute and the piano variations in the background??? They strip everything and go heavy on harmoniess like yesss. I think a bit repetitive but i liked it. I’ll look up a live performance later and see if i like it more live but for a b-side? Crazy, insane, amazing! Greatt fkn job 30:17 i can’t take the word bouncy seriously in this context it makes me think of san’s bendable knees almost touching the ground in a cowboy hat and almost no button shirt on Okay lets goo my way🫡 honjoon’s voice is so versatile🥸 it scratches a good part of my brain 🦋 Power of friendship ahh song in the best way☺️☺️ they’re hugging singing this👏🏻 See how i only made one comment this time? TH-cam's automatic copyright scanner misidentified the MV as footage from a Japanese concert recording and unfortunately refused to let me upload it here.
