    I was confused by the 1 ball shot (starting around 6:08), where you said the left edge of the CB would line up with the left edge of the OB. Maybe it's the camera angle, but it looks like almost a straight in shot. So wouldn't you line up the middle of the ferrule with the contact point of the OB? Thanks.

    The most important thing is to relax and clear your mind. I did the deep breathing because it was taught to me years ago by a really great tournament player. He taught it to me and I did it since then. I played in match play today. I beat the guy 11 to 3 in a race to 11. It works for me. Johnny Henson Professor Pool. Hope you’re playing well.

    My problem with deep breathing, is that our league plays in the smokiest bar around and I don't smoke, so taking big deep breaths gives me so much more anxiety...it sucks cause I play pretty decent pool in an environment that is smokeless. Should be illegal to smoke in any place of business.

      Most average players have trouble running a rack of 8 ball. Even 9 ball or 10 ball is hard for most players to play well. I feel that less than 5% of all players have the skills and touch to play such a precise game as 1 pocket. Sounds like you are one of the 5%ers. Johnny Henson Professor Pool.

    • @billiarduniversity5842
      @billiarduniversity5842 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Having a true level cue, your right. I deal with players that have their sticks 3 4 5 inches off the table and they can't play well or draw the ball well at all. I call having a level cue as having the cue on or near the table while playing. Johnny Henson Professor Pool

    • @billiarduniversity5842
      @billiarduniversity5842 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Over the years I have played 1 pocket less than 10 times. It is a very precise game that is very unforgiving. Most of the players I played over the years were sloppy, and risk-takers, and I beat them without much effort. Against a real 1 pocket player such as yourself that would be a different ball game. I don't talk about 1 pocket much because I have not played it that much. Johnny Henson Professor Pool

      Back in the day, I was considered one of the better combination shooters in the world. I feel that if a person puts an object ball 1 foot away from the pocket and the first ball to be hit 1 foot away from that ball and the cue ball 1 foot away from that ball now you have a 3 foot combination shot. If you will move your balls around, to not set up the same shot each time you will learn to get a feel for the combination shots. This is one method I used to master them.
