TTT v87 - REVIEW - APBA Baseball "Intermediate" Review
That paper you printed the teams on looks good, could you let me know the style of paper? Looks solid, I only have black white
Thanks for the video. I’m 2 years late! Lol. 1993 was amazing. I got 93 in Replay and APBA too. 93 was the last team a team won 100 games and didn’t make the playoffs. Epic NL West Race between the Braves and Giants
this game is back on my table.
We need RG back.
Hope all is well miss seing your replays for APBA hope you will get back to them again
We need more channel updates.
Wish i had my first set still. Would be the original 1986.
Cool to see Eddie Matthews hit a HR.
Thanks! I just downloaded the demo version.
Great job Steve and Gilles! I'm getting back into the Master Game after many years this was a good refresher course. Hope you bring Gilles back and do another game Steve!
I used to live a mile away from the old avlon hill plant on harford rd. I bought all my games and session cards like statis pro baseball and basketball.
The part where you talk about bringing in a "D" pitcher when a "A" pitcher is getting rocked... This is exactly the same way that I think about it too. I feel the manager doesn't know that he will end up a "D" pitcher, at the time of substitution, he is just another tool in the toolbox, and I also have had real good results sometimes bringing in a "D" reliever, or starter for that matter. It's funny, now when I try to play Strat, I miss the pitcher ratings... Great video.
Your production standards for these games are top-notch! A pleasure to watch when I’m not playing APBA. 👏🏻🎲🎲⚾️
Just used BallScore/Stat for the first time (BATS3 PreExpansion). I am pretty slow and had to hunt around for a few things (like runner stealing 2nd - Cobb was running wild - and a tag at home while the runner advanced to 2nd on the throw - love having an 'undo' option!), but I really like not having to compile stats after the game! Thanks for the clear tutorial!
Someone once compared the 70s Angels to a box of Kleenex. They popped-up one at a time.
Lol, that's funny :-)
I like seeing the dice too. I’m still learning the game and seeing the dice really helps.
Which file did you get the scoresheet from? I went to the website and downloaded several but when I go to print them out, they don't fit the page. Thank you.
I did the 96 Smoltz Replay. That was fun to do all of the pitchers starts. Especially during the height of the steroid era. It’s was the only time I rolled a no hitter.
Nice job. I wonder if Strat will ever try to incorporate gross shots attempted, blocks, and hits. And if they will assign more detailed faceoff ratings.
I wanted to ask apba Brian a couple of questions about how he plays strata Matic and is there any email address I could have for him so I can ask him a couple of questions?
This game is very fun and VERY addicting! I wish there were some minor leagues and colleges.
Very cool.
I'm a long time (since 1965) APBA player. I loved it when the Master Game came out. It gave me so much more detail in the game. However, it was more involved when playing solo, but I loved seeing outfield arms, more involved pitching grades, catcher's arms, and base stealing. Everything came together with Baseball for Windows, the computer version of the Master Game. I really enjoyed that and played both solo and against other players. The advent of good micromanagers made it excellent for solo play and also for competitive play. In the 1990s, a company, CSN, operated continuous ownership leagues to play against other people around the country. This was back in dial-up time, but it turned into the most wonderful time. APBA did such a great job of add-ons like stadiums, micromanagers, draft GMs, and comprehensive draft and stat programs that I still play that version of the game. I was at this year's APBA convention and heard T-Bo called out, but Tebow for me meant Tim Tebow since I live in Gainesville, Florida (home of the Gators). It gave me a chance to play the basic game with the cards (1968 Tigers) for the first time in, probably, 50 years. This hobby, no matter the platform, makes life better.
never played a sim like that but looks interesting...can't decide if worth $75 to try
Thanks for showing this. My gaming preferences very closely lineup with yours and like you I’m surprised to find myself interested in quick play games. But Fast Drive Football is so good. So I’m sure this one will be too!
Kurt got me into “Pine Tar Baseball”…also. Love Kurt’s passion…
I totally agree with savoring a game, and not trying to jet through it as fast as I can. I often stop the game to research something that popped into my head, like is so and so still alive, how long was this guy in the league, where is he from, when did this team start playing in this stadium, etc. I'm playing a 2 team season and Fast Playing the rest with Digital Diamond Baseball, and it may take me 2 years to get this done and I don't care, maybe 3 years, whatever, I don't care.

I'm a subscriber, but I do play RWB racing. The only thing I might do differently would be when you fill the holes after qualifying, I would fill them by trophy color. Gold would get the highest available slot, Silver next highest, then Bronze. If there are any open slots after placing the trophy drivers, then fill those positions with the non-trophy drivers. That is just a suggestion. Although, I will always say, it's your game, and you do it the way you want to. Great explanation of race week. Excellent video, my friend.
Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed that immensely. We have very similar Strat to APBA journeys.
Do you know what the colored discs are supposed to be used for?
Blue is for cold shooters (missed 4 consecutive shots), red is for hot, yellow is fatigued, green is playing safe
@@bigrevkev55 Thank you very much.
Looks like you are combining basic and the Master Game. Would love to learn more about which Master Game rules you use and how you do it.
Watching on my lunch hour and now I’m thinking about faking being sick and going home and playing. Lol. JK
I am new to Second Season, so I've been watching a bunch of TH-cam videos to get acquainted with it. What does the small white die represent? If you did describe it, I must have missed it. Anyway, thanks for your time and please keep the videos coming!
Thanks for the game. I recently purchased the game.
Hello! Are you planning on making more videos?
Nice scoresheet. Where can I find them? Thanks
Under the max rules checklist, More base running decisions. Is that what allows the base runner to take an extra base (test the OF arm) when there is no asterisk or plus sign ECT.?
I miss your broadcasts - this is great! Where are you?
Hey where did you get that shoet wedge chart from? It's at the 7:15 mark.
Hey, as I rewatch your videos I noticed on hole 15 @ the 50:45 mark you rolled a 31 off the tee but marked it as a 13. So he probably was on the fairway as oppose to being in the rough. Hope you're doing well and can't wait to see the next asg video.
Crazy game. Enjoyed it.
I play History Maker Baseball by PLAAY Games. How do you create their lineups using this program?
I too bought the Pdf first, then bought it again as cards.
Thanks for sharing
Great video! I have a question. On your symbols guide with HR ratings, off to the left are two sets of pitcher grades, which are slightly different from each other. Then you have the big card with pitcher grades, which is slightly different from my cards. For instance, a 10 is a B pitcher on my cards. Just wondering how I should apply the pitcher number grades.
Miss you buddy
Great interview. Thank you
It was my pleasure. :-)
Thanks for the video. Was just thinking about ordering a starter APBA set. Was very instructive even though you were more into master game. I realized that 70% would still apply. Could you suggest a secondary vender as I have heard that APBA customer service is terrible. Thanks, keep rolling
did you ever get around to those unopened Strat cards? Asking for a friend (Tibo)
