2022 - School Supplies Packing Event

After 2 years, volunteers gathered to pack school supplies for over 1,1100 homeless children to start their school year. They successfully packed the supplies and loaded onto the school vehicles. This video talks about what the volunteers have to say.

Founder of EC4A, Harish Kotecha, was awarded Sandra Neese Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his work to help with education of homeless children and students. He was the first Indian to receive such award. Seema Govin covered this award for TV Asia aired the award and its significance.
2021 Internet Connectivity Donations

Covid-19 impacted our lives! Social distancing was the norm, schools were closed and remote learning was instituted! During this time, Hindu Charities for America (now doing business as Education & Careers for America) provided mobile internet connectivity to students in Manor ISD so they can continue with their education. 2017 Gala aimed to raise finds for vocational training scholarships for economically disadvantaged students. The scholarship have helped many to get jobs that pay better than living wages, and have made difference in lives of many! We thank the donors and dignitaries who helped to raise the funds with their generosity of time and money!

Diane Nilan has dedicated her life to give visibility and voice to children and youth experiencing homelessness. To this end, she has travelled across the USA to experience first hand issues and video document. She has written books on this subject. More information is at hearus.us.
