I cannot express in words how much I love Elina Garanca!

There are lots of super talented opera singers in the world but Elina Garanca is special. She is unmatched in beauty and talent. And to top it off she is a total class act. I just read her autobiography and she came for the most humble beginnings you could ever imagine. I believe that is the source of her great humility and raw authenticity that we all love so much.

So incredibly beautiful

Not only do I love his voice in itself and how great he is at mastering it to sing the most beautiful songs, but as a French native speaker I just love his accent whenever he sings in French, you can barely hear it but it's here and it's truly beautiful and adds a little something to his performance in my ears 👌

Do you have any Elina Garanča, doing Habanera, with French subtitles? I'm learning it and it sure helps to see the words as she sings them, in French. I'm still learning French so I'm uncertain about some pronunciations. I love her singing in particular! Thank you for these lovely videos and the subtitles!

If we had to keep a standard reference for a woman's femininity and elegance. it would be what Elina Garancia projects in every direction a woman needs to operate! She is such a natural woman who can project the required ingredient in the exact amount and at the right time. Every one of her performances proves this point, but her performance as Carmen, was astounding, both as a singer and as a natural woman.

Wow thanks for posting this, the best tenor aria since di Stefano. I was actually listening to this live in my car on a Saturday night in England, on Radio 3 live matinees from the Met, parkef by the river in the rain, in Richmond on Thames down at the end of Old Palace Lane.

Fantastic interpretation of this difficult aria. Just hating on this modern production. Much prefer tradition sets/staging/costumes. Imagine Kraus or Gedda coming out in a short sleeve shirt and rolled up pants? I guess with a sound like his, who cares about his shirt. 😆

Elina is simply extraordinary. Stunningly beautiful, dignified, serene and, to me, the greatest singer I have ever heard. Her voice emanates straight from heaven.

Alors, ça, c'est marrant ! Même décor pour l'Opéra Bastille 2019, même mise en scène, mais pas les mêmes chanteurs !
